'Go away': CNN data guru says Americans are done with the Bidens

'Look at Biden’s net favorable rating in January of 2025- it was -22 points. Has it gone any better? No, not really', Harry Enten said

WASHINGTON, DC: CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten, during 'Data Guru' on Thursday, June 4, emphasized that Americans want Biden supporters to go away.

Analyzing recent polling, Enten argued that voters appeared eager to move on from the Bidens and summarized the sentiment with a blunt message: "go away."

The analysis comes in the backdrop of Jill Biden's ongoing tour to promote her new memoir, 'View from the West Wing'.

While the book is largely pitched as an apolitical account of her life in White House, several former aides of Biden and Democratic operatives questioned the timing of the book and some of the content.

Harry Enten says Americans want Bidens to leave

Given the discomfort of some Democrats with the release of Jill Biden's book, CNN anchor John Berman noted that the former first lady’s memoir has entered Amazon’s non-fiction top 5 and asked what Biden’s favorability rating sat at.

“The American people have one message for the Bidens that is: go away!” Enten declared. “Go away!”

He continued: "I mean, just look at this. Look at Biden’s net favorable rating in January of 2025- it was -22 points. Has it gone any better? No, not really. He’s still way underwater here at -19 points."

"He’s 28 points underwater with independents. Joe Biden ended his term as president as quite unpopular. And he remains quite unpopular," he added.

“He is an anchor to the Democratic Party and potentially their fortunes in the 2026 midterm elections,” Enten added.

Harry Enten claims Jill Biden was an unpopular First Lady

Berman then pressed the analyst on whether Jill Biden fared any better. Harry Enten, in reply, doubted if the former first lady was even popular.

Jill Biden – obviously not Joe Biden, though they are married – okay, just look at this. Was she a popular first lady? First lady’s net favorability at the end of their final term,” Enten said.

The CNN data analyst further compared Jill Biden’s popularity with that of Hillary and Michelle, saying, “She was just two points above water. Obviously, not as bad as Joe Biden, but Michelle Obama was 43 points above water. Hillary Clinton was 13 points above water.”

“Again, you’re just looking at this, and you’re seeing that Jill Biden was historically unpopular for a Democratic First Lady compared to the two other Democratic First Ladies,” Enten said, adding that Jill’s popularity matched that of Joe.
