Speaking about the viral 'Break 50 Challenge' video that featured her grandfather and golf star Bryson DeChambeau—which has gained over 15 million views on YouTube—Kai said, “I watched half of it because I was working out. It was awesome. It was crazy. Genuinely, he always gives me a run for my money. It’s pretty close.”
She admitted that her grandfather usually ends up winning, adding, “It’s never really like game over, and I’ve won on the 15th hole. He wins a lot of the time. I do have to say that. I’ve got to get better."

Kai also shared a funny golf story describing how the former president once tried to distract her before an important shot. “One time I was not on his team and I had to make this eight-foot birdie putt to win, and he’s trying to get in my head like standing right over me, standing next to me.”
Despite the distraction, she nailed the putt and celebrated with an enthusiastic fist pump—a move that made him smile even though he lost. “I sunk it and looked up and go like this (fist pumping) and he started smiling. That was the best moment. When I made that putt, even though he lost, he was so happy and smiling and laughing. That was a pretty special moment, too."
