WASHINGTON, DC: Newsmax host Greg Kelly expressed strong criticism on Monday regarding the Democratic National Convention, describing it as "national brainwashing."

During the convention’s first night, Kelly engaged in a discussion with Trump campaign aide Hogan Gidley about President Joe Biden's speech.

According to Rawstory, Hogan Gidley noted that Biden was entering the convention hall as a president fully aware that the attendees had not only disliked him but had actively tried to remove him from office despite his long political career.

"You cannot underestimate how much they dislike him and were furious at him for staying in this," Gidley noted.

Greg Kelly took issue with Gidley's perspective on Biden's decision to remain in office. "Hogan, great points," Kelly responded. "But you know what? I don't think it was everybody in that room who made the decision. I mean, it was Obama, Pelosi, one or two others."

Kelly further criticized the situation by pointing out that 14 million people had voted for Trump and declared, "This is beyond propaganda. This is national brainwashing that we're in the midst of!"

DNC platform draws criticism for outdated Biden references and lack of Harris policies

However, On August 19, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) faced criticism for its recently released party platform, which repeatedly referenced President Joe Biden's second term.

The New York Post reported that the platform, approved just before Biden withdrew from the presidential race on July 21, does not include any policies from Vice President Kamala Harris.

Despite the shift in party nomination to Harris, there are no plans to revise the document for the Democratic National Convention. The 92-page platform voted on July 13, came under scrutiny online after it was noted that Biden's second term was mentioned 19 times.

Former president Donald Trump took to Truth Social to mock the platform for its emphasis on Biden's second term.

"In the JUST RELEASED Democrat Platform, they mention Crooked Joe Biden’s ‘second Term’ over 20 times," Trump posted. "It shows that the Platform is not that important to them when they won’t even make the change," he added.

Online dispute erupts

An online dispute has ignited over Newsmax host Greg Kelly expressing strong criticism.

One user wrote, "Talk about being desperate, and Repubs are just that, desperate."

Another user commented, "These are some real sicko people. THIS is what a normal convention actually is. Republican's cannot throw a normal convention because there is nothing normal about their candidate and his moronic VP choice and their shit entertainment is Kid Rock and Hulk Hogan. (not what I'd call entertainment) The Dems will have incredible entertainment - stay tuned. These yokels will be so jealous."

One user replied, "They couldn't say the same thing about the GOP convention because lets face it, there wasnt a single active functioning brain cell from anyone who attended it."

Another added, "Want some cheese with that whine? News Max just can't handle the truth."

One said, "I think my irony-meter just exploded."

Another stated, "Jealous much? Just shut the hell up with all your negative comments and bashing..people are sick of it...you ever say anything positive you might like yourself better!!"
