‘He is a great kisser’: Ashley Biden’s bombshell diary reveals torrid affair with violent junkie who later died of overdose

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: The diary of Ashley Biden, the President's daughter, has revealed her affair with Eric Dengler, a man with a troubled past who succumbed to a fatal drug overdose.

The diary, stolen from a Florida house and later published online, provides a window into the personal struggles and turbulent relationships of Ashley Biden.

Ashley Biden, 42, who recently appeared at a Delaware court to support her half-brother Hunter, wrote extensively about her affair with Eric Dengler in her diary. The entries reveal a deep, albeit tumultuous, connection that began during her stint in a rehab in Boca Raton, Florida, in 2019.

"He is a great kisser. And he is calming + sweet," Ashley wrote, describing Dengler. Despite his violent past and struggles with addiction, she was drawn to his "style and swag", noting that he was "refreshing" and "calming" compared to her other relationships.

Eric Dengler, standing at 6 feet 6 inches, was a notorious figure with a history of crime and addiction. His criminal record includes six years in Florida prisons for robbery, drug trafficking, and theft. According to his former acquaintances, Dengler's life revolved around surfing and getting wasted.

"All he cared about was surfing and getting wasted," one acquaintance told the Daily Mail. "That guy was a danger to himself and others."

Dengler's chaotic lifestyle ultimately led to his demise. In April last year, he was found dead at the age of 39 from a drug overdose involving a lethal mix of fentanyl, oxycodone, and morphine.

Ashley Biden's diary entries paint a vivid picture of her relationship with Dengler and her own struggles with addiction and intimacy. She recalls being "boy crazy" and having "sex with friends at a young age". During her rehab stint, she had affairs with two men, Dengler, and a wealthy, married businessman referred to as "Kevin".

Reflecting on her encounters, she wrote, "I don't know if I even need to kiss a guy – just come over and f*** me – sober."

Her relationship with Dengler was particularly intense. Despite his lack of education and troubled background, she found solace in his presence. "He is a surfer – not highly educated – barely knows his grammar/ but he does know how to love," she noted.

Dengler's former victims and acquaintances remember him as a volatile individual. One of the most harrowing incidents involved his sister Julie's ex-boyfriend, Rafael. After being kicked out of Julie's house for demanding money to buy drugs, Dengler drove his car towards the house in a fit of rage.

"I kicked him out of the house because I'd had enough of his crap. That's when things got crazy," Rafael recounted. "He got in the car, jumped the curb, and drove straight at me. I didn't move because there was so much adrenaline in my system I didn't think about the consequences. He was only a few inches away from slamming into the front door when he stopped. It was real close."

This incident led to Dengler being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a law enforcement officer for resisting arrest. Rafael described the ongoing terror of living near Dengler, who was perpetually under the influence of heroin or molly.

A love doomed by circumstances

Despite his violent past, Ashley Biden saw a different side of Dengler. She believed in his potential for change as she wrote, "Started hanging out with a new guy, Eric, who has been through a lot and is clean + sober these days. He lives in Florida."

"And he is so cute… has his own style and swag. It's been refreshing to be able to kiss another man – he is a great kisser. And he is calming + sweet. I can tell we both could fall for one another – and that's a little scary but taking it day by day b/c ya never know what the future holds."

However, Ashley was aware of the fragility of their relationship. She penned fears about her father's presidential run affecting her romance with Dengler, writing, "If Dad runs it truly messes up everything with homeboy."

She also worried about the transient nature of their relationship, noting, "I so wish I could see him tonight – just lay with him but it will be too late + I need to prepare myself for him abruptly walking away."

Dengler's life ended tragically in his Delray Beach apartment, where he was found with a syringe in his hand. His girlfriend, Gianna Correia, told police that he was a habitual heroin user who had survived two previous overdoses. Despite attempts to rebuild his life, including a brief stint running a car and boat detailing business, his addiction ultimately claimed him.

Dengler's mother, Carol Price, declined to discuss his life or his relationship with Ashley Biden, telling a Daily Mail reporter, "You cannot speak of my son any longer. He is deceased." She refused to comment further on his connection with the President's daughter.
