WASHINGTON, DC: In keeping with his usual flamboyant demeanor, former President Donald Trump responded to the resignation of Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade by slamming Wade, President Joe Biden, Special Counsel Jack Smith, and even Wade in a post on his Truth Social account.

Special Counsel Smith is the one pursuing the two federal indictments against the former president.

In a much-awaited decision on March 15, Judge Scott McAfee rejected the notion that Willis' previous connection with Wade provided her with a 'material financial benefit' that would have qualified her as having a disqualifying conflict of interest.

Even yet, he chastised the prosecution for being 'encumbered by an appearance of impropriety' and demanded that Wade or Willis step down from the case.

Notably, Wade submitted his letter of resignation to Willis' office on March 15. Willis accepted it in a letter of her own, paving the way for her to continue supervising the prosecution of the former president and a number of his allies for alleged attempts to rig Georgia's 2020 election results.

Trump shared his thoughts on Truth Social shortly after Wade's resignation became public. Trump's statement highlighted the way Willis' name is pronounced, attacked Wade as 'The Fani Willis lover' and a prosecutor who was 'Special' 'in more ways than one', and concluded with his typical accusations that everyone is targeting him 'for purposes of Election Interference and living the life of the Rich & Famous.'

Following weeks of well-publicized evidence in which Trump's attorneys cross-examined Willis, Wade, and several other witnesses on their relationships, McAfee made his judgment.

They both refuted the assertions made by Trump and his co-defendants that Willis benefited monetarily from casting Wade in the role, claiming Wade paid for their vacations with his income. They also disputed that their affair started before Wade was recruited.

Reportedly, the connection started after Wade was recruited, but witnesses and telephone data uncovered by an investigator hired by the defendants seemed to refute that. Although Wade and Willis admitted their connection and stated that they met in 2019, they insisted that they didn't start dating until after he was employed in 2021.

Internet slams Donald Trump for his offensive post

Several people on the internet trolled and bashed former President Donald Trump for his Truth Social post about Fani Willis and Nathan Wade.

A user posted on X, "He. Is. So. Weird. One example: he bashes Wade but then gets super formal/polite, calling him "Mr. Nathan Wade Esq," while one added, "He's so presidential. #NeverTrump."

A user also mentioned, "Everyone hopes big stuff coming is diabetic coma for satan's orange playmate" while one stated, "Trump knows what Disgrace is he has been Disgrace all his life."

A user also wrote, "Stop LYInG Trump! If you’re so damn innocent, just get the court case over with, and stop trying to delay it!"
