LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the ever-entertaining realm of late-night comedy, Jimmy Fallon recently took a jab at former President Donald Trump's claim that no president in history has been treated as poorly as he has been.

Trump's remarks came in a recent interview with 'Newsmax’ where he compared his treatment to that of past presidents, citing Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln. However, Fallon didn't let this assertion slide without a witty retort.

Donald Trump's claim ignites social media firestorm

Trump's statement, which he made during an interview, sparked immediate reactions across social media platforms. The former president expressed his belief that he had faced unprecedented levels of unfair treatment, despite historical examples suggesting otherwise. "Nobody's been treated like Trump in terms of badly," Trump claimed, asserting his perceived victimhood in the annals of presidential history.

Fallon, in his characteristic comedic style, seized upon Trump's assertion during a segment on 'The Tonight Show'. Mimicking Trump's voice, Fallon quipped, "Nobody's been treated like Trump in terms of badly, and Trump should be treated in terms of goodly."

"He said, no president's been treated worse, yeah. Even John Wilkes Booth is like, 'Hold on, I gotta, I gotta— Come on, bud, come on'," Fallon added,

Social media reacts

As Trump's assertion reverberated across social media platforms, users wasted no time in offering their perspectives on his claim. From biting criticism to historical comparisons, here's how the online community responded.

One internet user noted the irony, stating, "What a coincidence, America was never treated worst than by you!"

Another highlighted Trump's actions during his presidency, remarking, "No President has been worse in every which way."

A user humorously suggested, "I think Lincoln and JFK and even Carter might have a word with him."

Another added, "Trump: "No other President has be treated worse than me!" Lincoln: "Hold my skull..."

One user replied, "Trump gave Obama the hardest time when he was president with that birther crap, and he sits here and plays victim."

Another commented, "Well we never had a former president that wasn't president but actually still thought he was president."

"What a sorry individual always whining I'm being treated very unfairly after all the crimes I committed I don't know why I'm being treated this way," opined one user.
