NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly has stirred conversation online after sharing an old tweet by Charlie Kirk that warned against a possible war with Iran. In her post, Kelly added a stark remark that caught many people’s attention.

“Within 5 months he would be killed, but he saw the truth”, she posted the message while sharing Kirk’s earlier warning about rising calls for a conflict in the Middle East.

Charlie Kirk warned about rising war rhetoric around Iran

In the tweet Megyn Kelly highlighted, Charlie Kirk claimed that signs of a potential war were building quietly in Washington even while other news dominated headlines.

“It’s going unnoticed because so much other news is happening, but the war drums are beating again in DC,” Kirk wrote in the post.

He suggested that some political voices in Washington were pushing for a long-desired confrontation with Iran.

“The warmongers worry this is their last chance to get the white whale they’ve been chasing for thirty years, an all-out regime change war against Iran,” the tweet read.

Kirk’s warning framed the situation as a dangerous turning point. He argued that another large conflict in the Middle East would not only be costly but could also have long-term consequences for the country.

Post warns a new Middle East war would be a ‘catastrophic mistake’

The tweet also laid out several reasons why a war with Iran could be damaging for the United States.

“A new Middle East war would be a catastrophic mistake,” Kirk wrote.

He argued that the country’s resources were already stretched thin after years of global involvement.

“Our military stockpiles are depleted from three years of backing Ukraine,” the post stated. Kirk also said that the country’s efforts to rebuild its manufacturing base were still in early stages and would take time to show results.

“Our effort to reshore manufacturing has only just begun and will take years to bear fruit,” the tweet continued.

Kirk warned that a new conflict would place further pressure on the country’s finances as well.

“War would worsen our already immense deficit and national debt,” he added.

Tweet highlights risks of conflict with Iran

Kirk’s message also emphasized the scale and complexity of a possible war with Iran. He argued that such a conflict could quickly spiral into something far larger than many might expect.

“Iran is larger than Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan combined,” the tweet said.

According to Kirk, this meant any military action could turn into a prolonged and difficult campaign.

“A war would not be easy and could easily become a calamity,” he wrote.

The post also pointed to what he described as a missed opportunity to step back from Middle East conflicts.

Charlie Kirk praised Donald Trump’s restraint in the region

In the final part of the tweet, Charlie Kirk referenced President Donald Trump’s approach to the region during his first term.

“Thanks to President Trump’s restraint during his first term, America has a golden opportunity to pull away from Middle East quagmires for good,” Kirk wrote.

He argued that the country should not risk losing that opportunity by entering another conflict.

“We shouldn’t throw that opportunity away so that sone DC has-beens can feel tough by sending young Americans to die yet again.”
