WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump may have suffered a severe brain injury after being shot in the ear during a rally, according to a military-trained doctor who made this claim on Friday, July 19.

However, the doctor also expressed grave worries about the lack of openness surrounding the former president's medical condition, as per Raw Story.

Doctor says Donald Trump could have sustained brain injury after assassination attempt

Notably, critical care specialist Dr Vin Gupta was questioned by MSNBC over the 'unusual blackout of medical information' surrounding Trump.

The host said, "I wonder if it seems unusual to you, and what you would like to know about Trump's condition" and Gupta answered, "Absolutely, it is unusual, given the gravity of the situation."

He added, "And I'd say for your viewers, something to look up and research if you are interested, it is called the tangential gunshot wound. That is essentially what the president is saying happened here."

He further stated, "He had a high-velocity bullet from an AR-15-style weapon shoot directly at his head, missed penetrating his skull, but impacting the surrounding tissues, in this case, his ear. That is what we are being told. That is serious. I come from a military background."

"That predisposes, in some cases, to a traumatic brain injury. Over time we might not see initial symptoms up front," he added.

He explained, "There could've been signs of bleeding that maybe were not present on that initial CT scan that was normal, for whatever report we got, that summary report."

He further said that there are a lot of potential impacts that could affect his function if he is the next president. i.e., to his balance, and his hearing as they can manifest over time and it is a big deal.

Internet trolls Donald Trump as doctor claims he could have brain injury

Many internet users trolled former President Trump as a military-trained doctor said that he may have suffered a severe brain injury after being shot in the ear during a rally.

A user wrote on X, "@realDonaldTrump was born with a brain injury" while one added, "Not from the shooting!"

A person also stated, "Trump needs to drop out" whereas one mentioned, "Hard to distinguish a lack of function due to trauma from plain old lack of function."

A user commented, "The big question is was he grazed by a bullet or cut by glass from the teleprompter? He was golfing un-bandaged the next day. It would appear his bandage at the convention was just for show."

A person added, "Remember how he poo-pooed head injuries for US soldiers after that Iranian missile attack? 'I heard they had headaches'."
