While remaining careful not to reveal any major plot points or character details, Sink spoke warmly about Holland's presence on set and how he made her transition into one of Hollywood's biggest franchises much easier. She described the actor as relaxed and welcoming while filming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.

Sadie Sink says Tom Holland made her feel at ease on the 'Spider-Man' set
Speaking about her experience filming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' with Nylon, Sink described Holland, "He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease." She admitted that stepping into such a major franchise was overwhelming at first, especially since many of the actors had already worked together for years.
Sink also acknowledged the 'Spider-Man' franchise's immense scale and said becoming part of it was a surreal experience. She noted that Marvel's secrecy was on another level, revealing that she did not receive the script until she arrived in London for filming.
The actress shared, "It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general."
What is Sadie Sink's role in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'?
Despite months of speculation, Marvel has still not confirmed which character Sink is playing. Her role remains one of the film's biggest mysteries, with the studio carefully avoiding any official reveal in trailers or promotional material.
"I knew that Marvel was a big deal and had a big brand, especially Spider-Man,” Sink said. “I know there's a huge fan base, but it feels really big. I think these blockbuster movies are a whole different beast."
What is confirmed is that 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' marks Sink's debut in the Marvel universe. Since her casting was announced, speculation over her character has run wild across social media.
One popular theory suggests she could play Jean Grey, the powerful X-Men mutant known for her psychic and telekinetic abilities. Another claims she may portray Lily Hollister (Menace), a Goblin-inspired villain.
Others believe she could be Felicia Hardy (Black Cat), the iconic cat burglar and one of Spider-Man's best-known love interests. However, Marvel has confirmed none of these theories. In fact, the studio has kept her role so tightly under wraps that Sink does not appear in the film's trailer.
