LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Taylor Swift never misses a chance to cheer on the people she cares about. The singer once again proved how genuine her friendships are as she showed support for her close friend Sadie Sink during the actress’ latest stage performance in London.
Swift was joined by fiance Travis Kelce as the couple attended Sink’s 'Romeo & Juliet' play at the Harold Pinter Theatre. The 'Stranger Things' star plays the lead role opposite Noah Jupe in the Shakespeare classic.
Sink’s production of 'Romeo & Juliet' has been drawing attention in London, and Swift’s appearance at the show only added more buzz around the performance.
Taylor Swift supports Sadie Sink in London
Taylor Swift traded the Met Gala spotlight for a cozy theater night in London with fiance Travis Kelce. The couple attended the Thursday, May 7, performance of 'Romeo & Juliet' at the Harold Pinter Theatre, where Swift’s friend Sadie Sink stars as Juliet opposite Noah Jupe.
Swift and Kelce were seated in the front row of the Dress Circle section and were joined by British cinematographer Rina Yang, who previously worked with Swift on the 'All Too Well (10 Minute Version)' music video.
Directed by Robert Icke, the new revival of Shakespeare’s classic has already been creating buzz in London, but Swift’s appearance added even more excitement around the production.
Swift’s London outing comes just days after she skipped the Met Gala 2026, which took place on Monday, May 4. The couple is reportedly preparing to say “I do” on July 3 in New York City, though neither Swift nor the 11-time Pro Bowler has publicly confirmed the wedding rumors.
How did Taylor Swift and Sadie Sink’s friendship start?
Taylor Swift and Sadie Sink became close after working together on Swift’s 'All Too Well (10 Minute Version)' short film. Sink starred in the project alongside Dylan O'Brien, and the trio later made several appearances together while promoting the film.
Swift once shared with E! News that she personally reached out to Sink and O’Brien after fully planning the project. “I got their numbers and sent them text messages and I had already created an entire treatment and script and like, visual kind of references of what I wanted to do."
"I wanted to have everything ready, like, this is my DP, this is who we are using for set design, this is who we are using for editing, this is who we are using for, this is the producer. I wanted them to know all of the information so they could make a choice and sent them the song.”
The singer also revealed that she wanted Sink for the role so badly that she probably would not have made the short film if the actress had turned it down. Sink later starred in Swift’s Grammy-winning 'All Too Well: The Short Film', which was released in November 2021.
