Johnny Cash’s daughter Rosanne postpones three shows due to 'medical emergency'
JONESBORO, ARKANSAS: Rosanne Cash has paused her ongoing tour after a medical emergency prompted the postponement of three upcoming performances.
The eldest daughter of the late Johnny Cash is recovering under doctors’ supervision and temporarily refrains from travel and performing.

Cash's management team announced the postponements in an Instagram post on Monday, September 7. The affected performances were originally scheduled to take place this month in Sheridan, Wyoming, Billings, and Bozeman, Montana.
“Rosanne Cash must postpone her performances due to an unexpected medical emergency,” the statement began. Her management team explained that Cash “is recovering under her doctors’ supervision, who have recommended a temporary restriction on travel and performing.”
“Rosanne deeply regrets the cancellation and looks forward to rescheduling appearances,” the statement concluded. New dates for the three postponed shows have not yet been announced.
According to her management team’s note, Cash is currently scheduled to return to the stage on September 19 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She will then perform a string of European shows in October, followed by one Nashville performance in November and three California dates in January 2027.
Cash most recently performed alongside Judy Collins, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Amanda Shires and Madeleine Peyroux at the Tanglewood Music Festival in Lenox, Massachusetts, on August 30. Her latest release, a duet with Matt Berninger called 'Who Loves the Sun,' was released in March.

Last April, Cash and husband John Leventhal celebrated three decades of marriage. She wrote on Instagram, “30 years and I love him more than I ever have,” adding that they had been told the first 30 years were the hardest and joking that they might “drive each other a little less crazy from now on.”
She also wrote, “Today’s the day I stop trying to make him think like me.” Leventhal shared his own Instagram post, writing, “Full disclosure, I love you more than I could/would possibly ever say on Instagram.” He also added, “Marriage side note: I’ve recently been told the first 30 years are the hardest.”
Cash previously discussed working with her husband on musical collaborations. “It's good working with my husband. I mean, it's hard sometimes, but it's good,” she said in 2014. “We've learned how to work together over the last 20 years and we bring out the best in each other.”
Cash became a stepmother to her first husband Rodney Crowell's daughter, Hannah, in 1979. Before their divorce in 1992, they welcomed Caitlin, Chelsea and Carrie together. In 1999, Cash and Leventhal had their first and only son together, Jakob.
Cash has also previously reflected publicly on her mother, Vivian Liberto. On Instagram, she shared an old picture of her mother and wrote about the sadness surrounding Liberto’s death, which occurred on Cash’s birthday 18 years earlier.
