Prince William jokes he tried to edge Travis Kelce out of Taylor Swift photo
LONDON, UK: Prince William recently made a light-hearted comment about his famous photo with Taylor Swift and his children during the pop star's 2024 Eras Tour.
The Prince of Wales had attended Swift's concert at London's Wembley Stadium in June 2024 with his two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The snap also included Swift's then-boyfriend, Travis Kelce, whom she had started dating nine months earlier. The photo was notable as it marked the football star's debut on Swift's social media page.

But according to the future King, he wanted Kelce out of the picture, as reported by Hello!
William recently appeared on 'The Graham Norton Show', which aired on Friday, October 23, where he was asked if he was aware of the significance of the Grammy winner's post.
The father-of-three replied, “I wasn't until recently,” before he quipped, “I hadn't appreciated the significance, and actually – I was trying to move him out of the photo!”

“Travis kept coming back in, and I couldn't work out why he kept coming back in! I was trying to move him out so it was just me and Taylor and the children!” he added.
Prince William first met Taylor Swift in 2013
The senior member of the royal family, 44, met Swift again on June 21, 2024, which was also his 42nd birthday. However, it was not his first meeting with the 'Cruel Summer' singer, as the two had attended a Kensington Palace gala for the Centrepoint charity in 2013.
The duo, along with Jon Bon Jovi, even sang 'Livin' on a Prayer'. Later, William reportedly shared, “To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I'm cringing at what happened next, and I don't understand why I gave in.”
“But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, 'Come with me...' I got up like a puppy and went, 'Yeah, OK, that seems like a great idea. I'll follow you,’” he had added.
Prince William talks about football on 'New Heights'
Meanwhile, William had also appeared on Kelce and his elder brother Jason's podcast, 'New Heights', in July 2026, where he discussed his love for football. He even disclosed that watching Aston Villa's relegation years ago made him a fan of the team.
“So I think weirdly, this sounds very odd, but I got into football more than ever when we got relegated. My weekend goes from being either the best weekend in the world when we win… Or frankly, I don't want to see anyone on Monday morning because I'm really down,” William added.
