Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison ‘doing great’ after emergency bypass surgery, released from hospital

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Pawn Stars’ boss Rick Harrison has reportedly been released from the hospital after undergoing emergency bypass surgery.

The 61-year-old faced the health setback just months after marrying his fifth wife, Agripina "Angie" Polushkin, 42.

Now, a representative of Harrison has told TMZ, “Today, Rick was discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home. By all accounts, he's now doing great.”

The update came after it was earlier reported that the reality television personality had originally gone for a small medical procedure, but during a checkup doctors found he needed emergency bypass surgery.

At the time, a spokesperson had said, “He went in for a simpler procedure, and they found he needed a bypass. He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery.”

They also added that Harrison was “grateful for the doctors and staff at the hospital and that his wife and family can be with him during this time.”

Rick Harrison got married for fifth time earlier this year

Harrison and Polushkin had said “I do” to each other in January at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Their wedding was reportedly officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

At the time, a joint statement from the pair read, “We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas, and also at our wedding later this month. It has been such an adventure already, and we are looking forward to all of it.”

Rick Harrison's son died in 2024

Meanwhile, the businessman’s latest wedding happened following several difficult years for him. In 2024, he lost his 39-year-old son Adam to an accidental overdose after years of struggling with addiction.

At the end of last year, Harrison’s mother also died. She was 85. But he was able to endure all the pain because Polushkin “was there for me”.

“And that's the important part. She was there for me,” he added.

Rick Harrison's marriage with Deanna Burditt had 'become incompatible'

Before Polushkin, Harrison was married to Deanna Burditt, but they split in 2020. Later, TMZ, citing documents, reported that their “tastes, mental dispositions, views, likes, and dislikes have become so divergent that they have become incompatible in marriage.”

Also, the owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop had added that the marriage “didn't work out and [the divorce] was a mutual decision.”
