'Pawn Stars' boss Rick Harrison says Trump’s tax policies gave his workers ‘astronomical’ refunds
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: 'Pawn Stars' icon Rick Harrison says employees at his Las Vegas businesses are seeing tax refunds so large they’ve left some stunned. He’s giving President Donald Trump full credit.
Speaking on Fox News’ 'Saturday in America,' Harrison told host Kayleigh McEnany that Trump-backed small business policies, including tax-free overtime and equipment write-offs, have pumped fresh energy into Nevada’s economy.
Rick Harrison praises Trump’s ‘No Tax on Tips’ policy
“I’ve had at least 10 employees tell me that their tax return was kind of, you know, they considered it astronomical. It was, like, twice what it normally is, and it just helps out,” Harrison said on Fox News.
The reality TV figure, best known for running the famed Gold & Silver Pawn Shop featured on the hit TV show 'Pawn Stars', said the changes are being felt across his businesses. Along with the pawn shop, Harrison also owns a Las Vegas restaurant and bar and employs roughly 80 workers.
According to Harrison, policies like full equipment depreciation, tax-free overtime, and exemptions on tipped income have boosted workers’ take-home pay while also encouraging business owners to spend more freely."

“The full depreciation on equipment is a godsend to so many businesses,” Harrison noted.
Harrison reserved some of his strongest praise for Trump’s “No Tax on Tips” policy, which he said has been especially important in a service-heavy city like Las Vegas.
“There's no tax on the first $25,000 in tips, which is really, really huge,” Harrison said. “There is a lot of single moms and things like that that are service workers, and that just, it changes everything, the no tax on tips, especially in Nevada.”
Rick Harrison calls Trump ‘best president ever’ at White House
The TV personality also spoke at a White House small business summit on May 4.
“I just want to say he's amazing. He's done so much for all of us,” Harrison said of Trump. “I mean, the backbone of this country is small business, plain and simple.”
He praised Trump’s tax agenda, including business deductions tied to equipment purchases.
“The Big Beautiful Bill, absolutely amazing,” Harrison said. “God bless you for letting me get 100% depreciation. It really helps out.”

Harrison also took aim at former President Joe Biden during his remarks.
“The last guy in office, all we heard was that we were the evil people, we were the bad people … we don't pay our fair share, whatever that's supposed to be. And he made it tough,” he said.
Harrison wrapped up his White House appearance by calling Trump potentially one of the country’s greatest presidents.
“I'm a history buff, and I know a lot about this White House thing and everything, literally, he's going to go down as maybe the best president ever,” Harrison said. “I love this guy.”
Rick Harrison says Las Vegas business is still booming
His comments come as Las Vegas reportedly continues dealing with softer tourism numbers and changing consumer habits. But Harrison said his businesses are still seeing strong traffic.
Earlier this year, he told Fox News that his pawn shop posted record-breaking months in January and February, even as some major Strip properties struggled to keep visitors spending.
“You give customers what they want, and they return,” he said in an April interview with Fox News. “A lot of the hotels on the Strip... they're not hospitals where you have to go to them. There are choices out there, so they're changing their pricing around.”
“I don't have crazy prices, and that's what [some of the other] casinos need to do,” he added. “Some casinos have always been doing that, and that is why they are doing well.”
