WASHINGTON, DC: As the highly anticipated presidential debate between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden approaches, the former president has chosen to spend his time on the golf course rather than preparing for the upcoming event.

"Today’s debate prep session," Trump critic Ron Filipkowski captioned a new photo, posted to X (formerly Twitter) that featured Trump on the course with several other men.

Donald Trump's demand for Joe Biden's drug test

The first live debate ahead of the 2024 election scheduled to be held in Atlanta will air on Thursday, June 27.

Trump recently suggested that Biden, 81, should undergo a drug test to prove he is not under the influence of any substances, according to OK Magazine.

In his Truth Social post on Monday, June 24, Trump wrote, "DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!"

Predictions for debate behavior

Sharing predictions on how Trump might behave during the debate, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said, “I think he will likely interrupt less because I think that’s the main lesson he took from … their first debate in 2020."

“And I think he will be very mean toward Biden. I would be very surprised if he’s anything other than that. He sometimes can stick to the script, then he goes off of it,” she said on CNN's AC360.

“Which is why predictions of how he is going to actually be in this debate are probably not worth very much," Haberman continued.

"We know that he has been preparing for this debate in the way he does — with policy sessions as opposed to classic behind-the-podium matches — but whether he is going to absorb what he’s learning there and whether he is going to come in, interrupting President Biden less than he did in 2020 in their first debate. It is an open question because he does what he wants to do," she added.

Internet slams Donald Trump for hitting the golf course

Reacting to Trump hitting the golf course instead of preparing for the upcoming debate, "This is going to be good… no prep. He is so going to walk out."

"I bet he hit a scratch round today," a user wrote while another netizen commented, "Trump is going to lose the debate. I feel it."

"He has no intention to debate," a netizen commented while another user wrote, "Perfect. I hope that’s how he keeps “prepping” for the next two days."

Another added, "He is going to call in sick! I am calling it!"
