HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, strongly criticized Democratic strategist James Carville for his recent comments about President Biden's chances of winning the 2024 presidential race.

In an interview with Politico, Fetterman expressed his displeasure with Carville by telling him to "shut the f*** up."

The Senator made the comment unprompted while answering a question about Biden's re-election campaign.

What did Senator Fetterman say about Carville?

Fetterman was asked by the interviewer, “We’ve talked about this a few months ago, and you told me then you thought Biden would win Pennsylvania and win the overall election. But things have gotten worse for him since. Trump is now ahead in many polls.”

Fetterman responded, “But that doesn’t really matter. There’s a whole lifetime in politics between now and next November as well. I’m not worried about that. And I’m very vocal about this, too, while there are Democrats that are being very critical about the president. ... I’ll use this (as) another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f**k up.”

“Like I said, my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that,” he added.

Carville cautioned Democrats just a few months ago on Bill Maher’s podcast on YouTube that Biden might be defeated by former President Trump in 2024.

Carville, a longtime political consultant to former President Clinton, appeared on ‘Club Random with Bill Maher’ on September 24 and criticized Democrats' attempt to re-elect Biden despite voter worries that he is too old for the role.

“Let’s say the election was November the third of this year. And they said the candidates are Joe Biden the Democrat, Donald Trump the Republican, Joe Manchin and Larry Hogan No Labels and Cornel West. Trump would be a betting favorite,” Carville shared on the podcast. “If I told you I would give you even money, you would not take that bet. And so somebody better wake the f**k up”

The Biden camp has expressed increasing frustration over the recent polls that show him trailing Trump, despite the gains in the economy.

Even though Biden's approval ratings have been low for over a year, it's the recent polls that have found him lagging behind the GOP presidential frontrunner, Donald Trump, both in a head-to-head match-up in key swing states.

There have been growing concerns from voters about Biden's age and whether he is capable of another four years in the White House, leading to lingering questions about his ability to lead the country.
