WASHINGTON DC: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is apparently looking to clean up previous remarks she made about President Joe Biden's age.

In a recent radio interview with Zerlina Maxwell, the former presidential candidate admitted concerns about the incumbent's age, stating Americans should "accept the reality" that "Biden is old" and elect him over GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump in November to "save our democracy," as per Daily Mail.

The POTUS, 81, and Trump's, 77, age and mental ability have become an alarming concern as the Super Tuesday primaries cemented the 2024 presidential election into a rematch between the two.

Hillary Clinton calls Joe Biden 'one of the most effective presidents' as she attempts to remove concerns over his age

Clinton took to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, March 6, and wrote, "When you're lucky to live into your seventies or eighties, the difference of a few years doesn't matter all that much. Joe Biden and Donald Trump are effectively the same age. Let's use that as a baseline."

"So this week, it's become clear the choice for this November is between one of the most effective presidents of our lifetimes, Joe Biden...or someone who tried to overthrow our democracy, has been indicted 91 times, and says he wants to be a 'day one' dictator if elected again. I'm choosing Biden. How about you?"

After sweeping the Super Tuesday primaries, except in American Samoa, Biden emerged as the potential nominee against Trump, who is the sole Republican candidate remaining after Nikki Haley's withdrawal from the GOP race.

Concerns about the incumbent to fulfill his presidential duties in the event of a second term skyrocketed after a special counsel report described him as an "elderly man with a poor memory." He is already the eldest person to be the president and will be 86 by the end of his second term if he wins in November.

On the radio show, Clinton had said, "Somebody the other day said to me … 'Well, but, you know, Joe Biden's old.' I said, 'You know what, Joe Biden is old. Let's go ahead and accept the reality. Joe Biden is old."

She added, "So we have a contest between one candidate who's old but who's done an effective job and doesn't threaten our democracy. And we have another candidate who is old, barely makes sense when he talks, is dangerous, and threatens our democracy. So, really, pick between your two old ones."

One wrote, "What a clown. Asks an open question and then blocks responses. Couldn’t describe the absurd, hypocritical left more accurately if it was scripted. Hillary is over… perhaps it IS scripted," as she blocked people from responding to her X (formerly Twitter) post.

"This is the nastiest woman currently alive," noted a person, while someone else said, "Hillary Clinton endorsing him this much makes me dislike Biden even more."

Another quipped, "Hillary is so fake lol that’s why she could never win…Never."

One more expressed, "Can you believe this sow has the audacity to even show her face, much less defend the worst president in her own lifetime? I cannot believe I had supported her at one time. I am embarrassed. She should just shy up and sit in a far away corner for life."
