'Hollywood filth': Mark Ruffalo shredded for sharing AI fakes of Trump with young girls on Epstein plane
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Actor Mark Ruffalo found himself in hot water after sharing fabricated images purportedly showing former President Donald Trump aboard Jeffrey Epstein's plane. Ruffalo, who missed out on the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, posted the misleading images last week, prompting widespread backlash.
Reposting a user's photos on X, Ruffalo expressed disdain, stating, "Gross. #MAGA wants to paint everyone on those flights as pedophiles except the one guy who smiles in a group of young girls all headed to Epstein’s 'Fantasy Island' with him." He added, "My bet is there are some decent Republicans left in America that may think this is going too far."

However, it quickly surfaced that the images were AI-generated. Community members pointed out discrepancies, such as mismatched shadows, a blurred suit jacket on Trump, and even a missing arm on one of the individuals in the photos.
Despite issuing an apology, Ruffalo took a jab at X CEO Elon Musk, criticizing the platform's alleged tolerance for disinformation.
"Sorry Folks. Apparently, these images are AI fakes. The fact Trump was on Epstein’s plane and what Epstein was up to is not," Ruffalo clarified. "Be careful. Elon’s X and his allowing so much disinformation here is driving the value of his app down by 55 percent."

Social media backlash
Despite the apology, Ruffalo was excoriated on social media for sharing the fake photos.
"Hollywood filth," one posted on X.
"@MarkRuffalo is such a tool. All these people do is project and contradict themselves. They’re walking hypocrites," another wrote.
"If I were Trump, I’d sue Mark Ruffalo’s till he's bankrupt!!" a comment read.
"These people are truly sick and afraid. They can only lie and deflect, they don’t have the capacity to be honest," someone else chimed in.
"Everyone knows he's just a patsy of the left. Such a shame that these celebrities have no idea they are being used!" another offered.

Trump's connections to Epstein
Recent court documents have indicated some connections between Trump and Epstein, but these revelations have not implicated Trump in any wrongdoing.
Trump visited Epstein's Palm Beach mansion multiple times, according to the housekeeper Juan Alessi's 2009 deposition, but always dined with the staff, never had massages, and never stayed overnight.
Alessi's deposition, part of a 2015 defamation case, shed light on Trump's visits to Epstein's mansion. "He would come, have dinner. He never sat at the table. He eat with me in the kitchen," Alessi stated. When asked if Trump ever had massages at Epstein's house, Alessi replied, "No. Because he's got his own spa."

Trump's statements distancing himself from Epstein were reiterated in 2019, highlighting their falling out over a real estate deal in 2004. "I was not a fan of his," Trump asserted, pointing out that Epstein was never a member of his Mar-a-Lago club. Despite these revelations, Trump has never been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein's criminal activities.
The latter's Palm Beach mansion, a site where he sexually abused young girls, went on the market in 2020 for $21.9 million but is believed to have sold for $18 million. Florida-based developer Todd Michael Glaser plans to demolish the existing house and build a new one in its place.
