HIGH POINT, NORTH CAROLINA: A shocking act of violence unfolded last Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at a High Point, North Carolina McDonald's when local pastor Dwayne Waden was arrested for attacking his wife's co-worker.
The altercation occurred after Waden's wife, who was training to become a manager at the restaurant, called her husband for help in dealing with employees she claimed were disrespecting her, as reported by The News&Observer.

According to the police report filed last Wednesday, December 27, 2023, Waden's wife was training to become a manager at the McDonald's location when she called her husband for assistance after allegedly experiencing disrespectful behavior from her employees.
Witnesses stated that upon Waden's arrival to the restaurant, he vaulted over the counter and grabbed a male co-worker of his wife's by the neck. Waden then reportedly pushed the man's head forcefully in the direction of the hot oil-filled deep fryer behind the counter.
Assaulted McDonald's employee had significant injuries
The police report details that Waden punched the employee several times in the face before other McDonald's workers were able to pull the pastor off him. The assaulted employee was left with significant injuries, including a large bruise to his forehead and right eye as well as several scratches on his neck.
Police reviewed security camera footage from the incident before arresting Waden and charging him with one count of misdemeanor assault and battery. The employee opted to visit the hospital with his family rather than be transported by first responders.
In a statement, the McDonald's franchise owner expressed being appalled by the violence carried out in the restaurant and said that protecting the safety of employees and customers is the company's top concern.
