WASHINGTON, DC: The House Oversight Committee has claimed the FBI secretly knew about how first son, Hunter Biden, leveraged his father, Joe Biden's visit to China in 2013 while the latter was vice president in the Barack Obama administration.

The Committee posted a copy of the emails between Hunter and his business associate Devon Archer on X, where the president's son bragged about his father's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Sharing the emails, which were part of the 2015-2016 federal investigation, the GOP Oversight wrote on X, "The feds knew about the Biden."

In 2013, then-Vice President Joe traveled to China during his Asia visit, meeting with leaders from Japan and South Korea to discuss bilateral, regional, and global issues.

Communications between Hunter and Archer were part of 3.3 million pages of documents gathered by the FBI, IRS, and SEC in 2015-2016 during an investigation into a bond scheme involving a Native American tribe, as per new outlet Just the News.

What were the emails between Hunter Biden and Devon Archer about?

According to the content of the email shared by the Oversight Committee, the communication between Hunter and Archer was about Joe's meeting with the Chinese president.

"Did you end up meeting Jonathan (Li)?" Archer asked, to which the first son responded, "Yes- and they got to meet Dad. All very good. Talk later."

Archer again wrote, "Great! have a good day over there."

"Dinner w/ Xi was pretty amazing. They (Xi and JRB) were supposed to spend 2hrs together. It stretched to 7hrs. I think they are in love with each other. They all most kissed on departure," Hunter's email read.

The committee got the email evidence to use in the impeachment investigation against the president.

House Oversight Committee chairman Rep James Comer said to Just the News, "The only reason Joe Biden wanted to kiss President Xi was because state-affiliated companies were about to line his family's pockets with foreign wires and lucrative business opportunities."

According to a 2019 report by The Wall Street Journal President Biden, Chinese President Xi, and Archer signed a memorandum of understanding in November 2013 to start a joint venture, BHR Partners, a month before then-vice president Biden traveled to China.

Internet reacts to House Oversight Committee's claims

A group of social media users criticized the House Oversight Committee's scrutiny of Hunter, while another slammed the FBI for secretly knowing how the first son leveraged his father's China visit.

One user wrote, "Y’all need to get over yourselves. Your infatuation with Hunter is getting a bit suspect."

Meanwhile, another remarked, "It’s disgusting how law-enforcement wraps itself in the flag in pursuit of Trump on bullshit charges, yet this doesn’t warrant a raid with deadly force authorized."

A third user asked, "Let me guess, you'll be holding a hearing about this soon and then poof...nothing happens ?"

"What kind of American Patriot allows…rather…HELPS a corrupt family gain power? These Federal Agents are enemies of the people. It’s that simple," read a fourth response.

Someone else wrote, "So do something other than post to X!!!"

While an indivdual argued, "What good are these people? They are supposed to work for us! Instead they pick a political side and could care less about truth and justice. Biden and family IMO are crooks and should be in jail. But they are SO busy hounding Trump I guess they don’t have time for real crime."

"Y’all knew this the from the beginning—don’t act like it’s news to you, GOP. You won’t do a damn thing about it, but fundraising," another fumed.

Whereas one furious remark read, "Can you imagine the relationship Biden has with the Feds, trusting them to not out him when he publicly denied things that the Feds KNEW were lies? They helped him lie to the American people, and are also helping him lie against his political opponents."
