WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly lashed out at Tim Walz on Wednesday, January 7, accusing him of “shameful” and “irresponsible” behavior.

Kelly’s criticism centers on Walz’s dismissal of a federal report regarding the fatal shooting involving an ICE agent in Minneapolis, which she claims was an attempt by the governor to inflame an already volatile situation.

SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly reacted angrily to the governor’s comments, calling his behavior “shameful.” She argued that a sitting governor should not label law enforcement accounts as “propaganda” while the situation remains tense.

Taking to X, she stated, “This is so irresponsible. Wait. Wait until we’ve seen and know more. How dare you - as the sitting governor! - further inflame an already charged situation by declaring the officer’s defense ‘propaganda?’ Shameful.”

Kelly claimed that, based on her view of the footage, the officer was nearly run over by the driver.

Addressing Mayor Frey, she urged him to “try to control yourself” and questioned why he would “try to light your own city on fire for once” by making such aggressive public statements.

ICE shooting details and victim identified

The woman killed in the shooting has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Twin Cities resident.

According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other federal officials, agents were carrying out an operation when Good and others allegedly used their vehicles to block the roadway.

DHS officials stated that agents instructed Good to exit her SUV, but she instead drove toward an officer, striking him with the vehicle. As the officer was pushed toward the side of the SUV, he fired three shots.

The administration maintains that the agent acted in self-defense to protect his own life during the encounter.

Tim Walz, Jacob Frey challenge DHS shooting account

The dispute began when the Department of Homeland Security released a statement claiming that “an ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.”

Federal officials alleged that a woman “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” Tim Walz quickly rejected this version of events, posting online that people should “don’t believe this propaganda machine” and promising that the state would conduct its own investigation.

Jacob Frey went even further, calling the federal description “b****t” and telling ICE officers to “get the f**k out” of Minneapolis.
