'I could be a professional wedding crasher': Sunny Hostin shares why she enjoys weddings on 'The View'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Co-host Sunny Hostin opened up about how much she enjoys attending wedding invitations on the February 28 episode of 'The View'.
The subject was broached at the Hot Topics table with co-host Whoopi Goldberg mentioning a couple who reportedly did not want to include any plus ones in their invitations, as they were having a very small destination wedding. The rule applied to their married friends as well.
Sunny Hostin's take on attending weddings
"Look, I love a wedding," began Hostin. "Joy [Behar, co-host] knows I could be a professional wedding crasher."
"I feel like they [the newlyweds] don't know what they are about to get into. I am twenty-five years in, I know exactly what they are getting into," she continued.
"So I am drinking their drinks and eating their food. I am kind of secretly laughing at them... And Manny [her husband] doesn't really enjoy it as much. So for me, I'll just go... I like a wedding, I'll go by myself."

"They don't need a plus one for you Sunny, they need a plus twenty. You roll in heavy," jibed co-host Sara Haines.

"I roll deep," Hostin agreed at once. "But I will go to that wedding, and I will drink and eat and have a really good time. And Manny will just be home watching TV, he'd be fine with it."
"Because you know what marriage looks like," said Haines, making Hostin reply, "I know what it looks like!"
Alyssa Farah Griffin on inviting plus ones
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin shared her idea of not having a plus-one invitation at a wedding.
She said, "Generally speaking, I think that you need to invite a spouse. However, this wedding is only 13 people. I would kind of bring my husband and be like, 'You go enjoy the location, I am gonna go to the wedding.' And you know, you both kind of get a nice little vacation."
The audience applauded as the other co-hosts greatly appreciated the idea.
Later in the discussion, Griffin added, "But I don't think that you have to invite people's boyfriend or girlfriend. Like if it's not a serious relationship, I don't want like someone's random Tinder date at my wedding."
