Jonathan Ross was previously dragged and hospitalized by illegal migrant driver
Several credible news outlets have confirmed that Jonathan Ross is the officer who fatally shot Renee Nicole Good. Authorities say Ross fired three shots on Wednesday, killing Good, 37, after she drove her car toward him during a street confrontation in Minneapolis.
This is a police officer, not an ICE agent, they do not operate the same, they don’t open fire on fleeing civilians, and even if they did this STILL wouldn’t apply because Jonathan Ross was NOT struck by the vehicle. https://t.co/4E1QuUpY2a pic.twitter.com/8LT4EdEAoZ

Additionally, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other officials also confirmed that Ross was involved in a violent incident in June 2025 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
During a traffic stop, Ross became trapped in a vehicle driven by Roberto Carlos Munoz, a repeat illegal immigrant from Guatemala with a long criminal record.
Munoz refused to get out of the car when officers approached. Ross broke a rear window to reach inside, but Munoz sped off and dragged him more than 100 yards while swerving to shake him loose.
Prosecutors said Ross suffered serious injuries to his arm and hand and required 33 stitches. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said at the time that Ross later made a full recovery.
Kristi Noem, Trump say Jonathan Ross acted in self-defense
Today, in an act of domestic terrorism, an anti-ICE rioter weaponized her vehicle against law enforcement. Our officer relied on his training and saved his own life, as well as the lives of his fellow officers.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said the experienced officer acted in self-defense and had the right to open fire. She said Jonathan Ross, a 10-year ICE veteran, faced danger while trying to enforce President Trump’s immigration crackdown. Noem also claimed that Renee Nicole Good was part of a group trying to block ICE officers from doing their jobs.
Ross works full time in Minneapolis and serves on ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Special Response Team, a specially trained tactical unit.
A wide-angle video of the incident appears to show Good striking Ross with her car after she ignored commands to exit the vehicle. Ross jumped out of the way and fired one shot through the windshield, then fired two more shots through the open driver’s side window, hitting her in the head.
Trump: "The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. "

President Trump backed Noem’s comments and wrote on Truth Social, "The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense."
ICE Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also defended the ICE agent Ross' actions saying, "He acted according to his training. DHS will never confirm or deny attempts to dox our law enforcement officers. Doxxing our officers put their lives and their families in serious danger."
