Ilhan Omar trolled for saying she'll vote for Biden despite Israel policy as 'democracy is on the line'
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) declared on Tuesday, March 12, that she will continue to support President Joe Biden in the general election in November despite their differing views on Israel, according to The Hill.
Replying to CNN’s Abby Phillip on 'NewsNight' when asked if she would vote for Biden if the election were held that day, Omar stated, "Of course. Democracy is on the line, we are facing down fascism."

Ilhan Omar says she would vote for Biden despite views on Israel policy
Omar added, "And I personally know what my life felt like having Trump as the president of this country, and I know what it felt like for my constituents, and for people around this country and around the world."
She further stated, "We have to do everything that we can to make sure that does not happen to our country again."
Strongly in favor of a cease-fire in Gaza, Omar charged the Biden administration in February during a news conference of 'greenlighting the massacre of Palestinians'. She criticized the Biden administration for approving increased funding to Israel without the consent of Congress.
She stated, "This administration cannot claim to be an honest broker of peace while greenlighting the massacre of Palestinians. The restocking of Israel’s arsenal is not foreign policy. It is state-sponsored violence waged against defenseless families who want to only live in peace."
In addition, Omar charged in the March 12 interview that White House national security advisor Jake Sullivan had failed to provide the 'full picture' on the cease-fire negotiations in Gaza.
She said, "I’m saying he’s not sharing the full picture. I don’t know if he’s being honest or not, but it certainly does not go along with the current reporting that has come out of those negotiation efforts."
