LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bill Maher shared his thoughts on President Joe Biden's performance during Thursday's debate, predicting that he would lose the upcoming presidential election.

Maher's comments have raised panic within the Democratic Party with many people suggesting the president to "pass the torch" to improve the Democrats' chances of winning.

Bill Maher says Joe Biden’s loss is ‘so apparent’ now

In a segment on his late-night show ‘Real Time,’ Maher quipped about Biden’s performance stating, “It’s okay if you missed it, so did one of the contestants.”

"He is going to lose. I said it nine months ago, I said it tonight. Now, it seems like it’s so apparent," Maher reiterated his prediction of Biden's loss.

Maher had previously expressed his belief that Biden would lose to former President Donald Trump during an episode of his podcast in early June.

He said at the time, “He is going to f*****g lose.” Despite his critical view of Biden's chances, Maher maintained his support for him, stating, “I’ve said this before: I will vote for his head in a jar of blue liquid, and after last night, time to get the jar.”

Maher criticized both Biden and Trump saying, “Trump told lie after lie after lie. He’d never gotten away with it if Joe Biden was there,” The Hill reported.

Bill Maher says Joe Biden stumbling over his words will be shown till election day

Maher showed a clip from the debate where Biden stumbled over his words and concluded his administration saying he "finally beat Medicare."

He pointed out that this is what Republicans will likely highlight until the election day, saying, “This is what the Republicans will show, from now to election day. I say, ‘quit.’”

Maher also joked about Biden, saying, “I don’t want to say he’s been in bed, but his new name in the Secret Service is Amber Heard,” referencing a highly publicized incident involving Johnny Depp and his ex-wife.

Maher added, “If Biden loses this election, it will be because of two things: he’s old… and immigration.”

Internet calls for Joe Biden to 'pass the torch'

Maher’s remarks ignited mixed reactions on the internet. One commenter said, “Pfft. Vote for the man who has some character and tells the truth! Bill Maher should shut it!”

Another joked, “America currently has no president.”

Another speculated about the Democratic National Committee’s plans, saying, “The DNC is trying to figure out a way to get rid of Biden right now.”

Another wrote, “If he stays on he will lose; and if he can pass the torch, there is still a chance to win.”

“Way too early to be sure. All we can say is that Biden's debate performance could hardly have been worse for his campaign. Trump didn't win the debate, IMO, but he accomplished getting campaign capital from it,” expressed one.
