Ryan Gosling’s ‘The Fall Guy’ slammed for ‘cheap’ shot at Amber Heard and Johnny Depp saga

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Gosling starrer ‘The Fall Guy’ has been released, and a few fans have taken offense over one particular joke.

At one moment, Hannah Waddingham’s character, Gail Meyer, makes a reference to the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard‘s infamous relationship.

Meyer is an executive producer, who reportedly walks into a trailer while looking baffled and tells directorJody Moreno (Emily Blunt) “It’s like Amber and Johnny were just in here.”

The two stars tied the knot in 2015 but decided to split after just 15 months.

Internet slams 'bad taste' Heard-Depp joke 

Internet reacted strongly to Heard-Depp's joke in ‘The Fall Guy'.

One person said, 'The fall guy' made a distasteful “joke” about the domestic abuse amber suffered at the hands of johnny. it’s 2024, why are we writing these kinds of lines into movies? nasty work." 

Another slammed, "Everyone should be aware that the new “comedy” movie The Fall Guy (which is getting a wide theatrical release in a few weeks) allegedly makes a cheap Amber / J*hnny joke. would love to ask the writer what he thinks is so funny about domestic violence…"

"Jesus how does that even get filmed without anyone objecting," the third questioned.

One person explained, "the fact the joke is just “it looks like a room where domestic violence occurred” is kind of bonkers."
