‘What is wrong with people’: Internet aghast as TSA finds bag of snakes hidden inside passenger’s pants at Miami International Airport

MIAMI, FLORIDA: A passenger traveling from Miami International Airport in Florida was stopped by security after he was found with a bag of snakes hidden down his pants, according to ABC News. 

On Friday, April 26, security guards were alerted by alarms. The man was brought for a pat-down, during which he admitted to hiding the reptiles.

TSA finds bag of snakes hidden inside passenger’s pants

Airport security officers in Miami were in for a shock as a bag of snakes was found hidden in a passenger's pants.

TSA officers at the Miami International Airport discovered the reptiles hidden in what appeared to be a sunglasses’ bag, in the trousers of the brazen flyer at an airport checkpoint on April 26, according to a post on X by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The post featured a picture of two small pink snakes that were found in the bag. The TSA said Miami-Dade Police and US Customs and Border Protection were called in for assistance. The snakes were later turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

A TSA spokesman told The Independent that the passenger was attempting to take an international flight but had “basically admitted there were snakes in his pants” when the alarms had sounded.

A spokesperson said airport security uses Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) to detect irregularities.

"It showed that there was an anomaly in the groin area and it marks it for a pat-down. When the passenger came through they said that they needed to do a pat-down and that’s when he admitted that there were snakes in his pants," the spokesperson said.
