COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA: Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, made a forecast regarding Nikki Haley's presidential campaign on Tuesday, February 20, claiming that the former South Carolina Governor would "kiss a**" to the former president when she eventually quits the presidential race.

Cheung posited that Haley would comply with the 77-year-old MAGA figurehead irrespective of her current opposition, as per The Hill.

Nikki Haley asserts she isn't fearful of Donald Trump's retribution

During her speech on Tuesday, Haley declared her intention to remain in the presidential race despite concerns about her low odds of winning the Republican presidential nomination over Trump.

Notwithstanding the outcome of South Carolina's February 24 primary, she pledged to stay in the presidential race, perhaps awaiting an opportune time when she could swoop in and clinch the nomination if the ex-POTUS is disqualified from the ballot for a criminal conviction.

"I feel no need to kiss the ring," asserted Haley in the speech, adding, "And I have no fear of Trump’s retribution. I’m not looking for anything from him."

In response, Cheung took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "She’s going to drop down to kiss ass when she quits, like she always does."

The former United States ambassador to the United Nations intensified her criticism of Trump as the Republican primary field narrowed, attacking his personal character and issues.

Haley repeatedly asserted that the ex-POTUS creates "chaos" and that the country requires a younger conservative leader.

She has categorically dismissed rumors that she would be interested in serving as Trump's Vice President, which the GOP frontrunner himself has also downplayed.

According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ average of polls, it's predicted that Trump has a significant lead over Haley for the GOP presidential nomination as she trails the former POTUS by 63 points.

Additionally, Haley lags by 31 points at the Palmetto State’s primary scheduled for February 24.

Internet trolls Nikki Haley after Steven Cheung slammed her comment of not needing to 'kiss the ring'

Soon after Cheung made the comment about Haley, netizens, especially Trump supporters were quick to mock the 52-year-old presidential hopeful.

One remarked, "Her political future is toast."

Another user claimed, "I believe her and Trump are both in on her campaign. If he gets indicted, she's going to take the reins. Likewise, her staying in this race keeps the media focused on the Primary. The moment she bows out, they'll pivot to bashing him. They're both benefiting from her staying."

A person declared, "Can’t stand her!" and another noted, "All the others have so far. Some didn’t even wait for their campaigns to end."
