WASHINGTON, DC: The White House has strongly criticized former President Donald Trump, condemning his inflammatory remarks on immigrants, reported The Messenger.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates, in his statement to the media on December 17, said that Trump's remarks of undocumented immigrants "poisoning the blood" of the nation reflects a fascist-style rhetoric.

"Echoing the grotesque rhetoric of fascists and violent white supremacists and threatening to oppress those who disagree with the government are dangerous attacks on the dignity and rights of all Americans, on our democracy, and on public safety," said the White House spokesperson.

Trump, the frontrunner of the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, repeated the anti-immigrant remarks he made in a September interview at the campaign rally in Durham, New Hampshire, on December 16. Trump also doubled down on his comment later in his Truth Social post.

White House statement says Donald Trump's remarks contradict American values

The White House statement rebuked the former President's remarks, saying, "It's the opposite of everything we stand for as Americans," as per the news outlet.

Bates added that leaders should not "threaten the core freedoms" the nation was founded on, nor should they divide Americans with "hate and cruelty."

"As President Biden has always said, our leaders have a responsibility to bring the country together around our shared values," he added.

Internet slams Donald Trump over his 'disgraceful' comments on immigrants

Netizens are outraged over the former President's seditious comments on the immigrants, with many calling him "sick" and "disgraceful" on Facebook.

One user said, "Never again. The man is an abomination."

Another user remarked, "He doesn’t even call them illegals anymore. Just starting another hate group. This man is disgraceful."

"Poisoning the blood? Yeah, I know the biggest MAGA fans are opposed to immigration, but...not a great choice of words, here. A bit too Mein Kampf-ish," read another comment.

A fourth user added, "This man is sick. I sincerely want a trump voter to explain why he should hold any government job, much less the presidency. What are his redeeming qualities that would cause you to overlook the negatives?"

"I'm shocked his popularity lasted this long. The good thing is his base is shrinking. The proof is his 'hand-picked candidates are losing elections and his endorsement is now 'the kiss of death,'" stated one user.
