WASHINGTON, DC: A recent Fox News report claimed that ahead of the New Year’s bash, Al-Qaeda threatened an “open-source Jihad” against Western and Jewish targets in a video that was released over a week ago.

Fox News Digital had also reported that several federal authorities, including the TSA and law enforcement agencies, were monitoring the situation after being aware of the aforementioned video.

After the news broke out, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shared it on X, formerly known as Twitter, and also mentioned the “open border” and the Biden administration in the same post. This did not go down well with the internet which did not appear to be on the same page as the congresswoman.

Marjorie Taylor Greene takes a hit at the Biden admin

On X, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a Fox News report that focused on the Al-Qaeda threat ahead of the New Year's celebration.

In response to the report, Greene wrote, “Al-Queda is now threatening terrorists attacks on American and Jewish targets. You can thank the Biden Administration for allowing terrorists in our country through their wide open border!!”

She added, “Democrats UN open border migration has made us all targets!”

Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene’s remark on Biden administration

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her remarks on the Biden administration and linked the “open border” to the threats by Al-Qaeda, the internet was quick to criticize the congresswoman.

One user wrote, “Marge the Fear Monger of all Fear Mongers,” while another user questioned Greene, “True but what did Republicans do to stop it?”

“You're quoting Fox again? Haven't you learned anything? You have no credibility and neither does Fox. You really should just resign,” wrote one user, while another wrote, “Resign immediately!”

Greene continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one user wrote, “No I thank the do nothing House who only blames, complains, and obstructs anything that would actually help. GFY Marge.”

Another user wrote, “You mean we can thank the GOP for not doing a damn thing about it.”

“Your words lack understanding and spread misguided blame,” expressed one user on X, while another wrote, “For once and for all...can you please SHUT THE ---- UP!”
