Internet believes Trump was 'hallucinating' as he claims 'there are people that' control Biden during Dr Phil interview
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent interview with Dr Phil McGraw, Donald Trump discussed the "dark forces" he believes are working against him.
He also expressed concern over the negative press coverage affecting his wife, Melania. Dr Phil, a TV host with a psychology background, spent an hour attempting to delve into the challenges Trump faces.
Trump spoke up about difficult time his family faced
This marked Trump's first interview following his conviction by a Manhattan jury on 34 counts in the Stormy Daniels case, according to Daily Mail.
"When the crowds aren't cheering, what's the darkest moment you think of?" Dr Phil asked him. "The hardest part for me is probably my family," Trump replied. "Because it's very unfair to my family. I have a very good wife. She reads this crap. I have great kids," he said.
Several members of the Trump family were present during the five-week trial.
The trial included Donald Trump's sons, Don Jr and Eric, his daughter-in-law Lara, and his daughter Tiffany. Melania, however, did not attend. The trial concluded with a conviction on charges of falsifying business records connected to payments made to an adult film actress.
"I have a wonderful wife. I mean, it's not easy for her to read this kind of stuff - that's fake that's fake stuff," he said.
Trump spoke at length about Don Jr, referring to him as a "good kid" who was implicated in the Russia investigation.
Trump then turned against Rep Adam Schiff of California, branding him a "watermelon head." Trump added that his 18-year-old son Barron finds it challenging to deal with the spotlight.
"He doesn't say because he doesn't want to hurt me," Trump stated. He gave away some details about his college plans while calling Barron a "good student" and a "great kid."
After he "got accepted to different colleges some of those colleges, all of a sudden they were rioting all over the place."
Donald Trump remarked that revenge takes time and can be justified
Following a series of reports and statements suggesting he may go after prosecutors and rivals who have gone after him, Dr Phil made multiple attempts to get Trump to play the "hero" and put an end to partisan retribution.
"There's an addiction to revenge just like opioids or whatever," Dr Phil informed Trump, who abstains from alcohol.
Giving his interviewer what he wanted to hear, Trump remarked, "The word revenge is a very strong word but maybe we'll have revenge through success."
"Revenge does take time," he continued. "And sometimes revenge can be justified."
During Trump's jabs at Biden and the judges supervising his criminal cases, Dr Phil persisted in trying to get him to answer questions about the psychological effects on himself and those close to him.
Internet claims Donald Trump was 'hallucinating'
After Daily Mail published the news on the platform, readers started sharing their reactions. A reader said, "He is hallucinating."
Another user added, "Trump will do interview after interview. Trump will speak to everyday folks without it being pre-planned. Look at Biden, he will not do interviews nor will he do anything without pre-planning."
A third commentator wrote, "The only dark force lives in trump’s head, is he deluded or what."
"As Trump has noticeably deteriorated in the last couple of years, he seems to promote even more conspiracy nonsense," one person stated.
