LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Democrats and their supporters' debate whether President Joe Biden should abandon his re-election campaign continues, Whoopi Goldberg has made her stance clear.

Goldberg suggested she would support Biden regardless of his physical and mental capability but her opinion could be impacted if Biden doesn't perform well in the second debate.

Whoopi Goldberg says she doesn't care if Joe Biden 'can’t put a sentence together'

Goldberg was not present when 'The View' initially reacted to Biden’s debate performance, but she voiced her unwavering support for him upon her return.

"I don’t care if he’s pooped his pants. I don’t care if he can’t put a sentence together. Show me he can’t do the job, and then I’ll say, OK. Maybe it’s time to go," Goldberg said.

She reflected on Biden’s "bad night" during the 2020 Democratic primaries when he debated against Kamala Harris but noted that he still went on to win the election.

"Everybody wanted him to quit then and said, you can't talk to women like this, you're doing this wrong, you're doing that wrong. He came back and said, you know what? I got it, and gave four years. So yeah," Goldberg added.

Whoopi Goldberg says 'I’ll join any crew that says get rid of him'

Goldberg humorously compared Biden’s situation to her own experiences.

"I have poopy days all the time, all the time. I step in so much poo you can’t even imagine," she said, according to Fox News

"Now, I’m not running the world, but I don’t know anybody who doesn’t step in stuff at some point. So, I’m just simply saying, yeah," she continued.

"There are two debates, and if he can’t do what he needs to do for the second debate, I’ll join any crew that says get rid of him," Goldberg added.

Internet reacts to Whoopi Goldberg's unwavering support for Joe Biden

Internet reactions to Goldberg’s comments varied on social media.

One user on X wrote, "That's because she can identify with him. See, our races are closer together than most people think."

Another argued, "As long as Biden and his team can still deliver results, I'm good too."

Conversely, some criticized Goldberg’s support, calling it "elder abuse."

One user defended Biden, saying, "True, it's the policies, accomplishments, ideas, and track records that matter. All that vs. criminal record."

Another critic commented, "If handling the nuclear code was that simple."

Others sided with Goldberg, with one stating, "She is right, worst day of Biden is much better million times than Trump’s best day."

A critic wrote, "Biden is acting like old grandpa in the corner with the keys to the car in his fist. Yet he can't tell where the front door is."

One criticized Goldberg’s stance, arguing, "She’s perfectly fine using a senile old man to further her political agenda. She’s selfish and doesn’t care that he is sick and needs nursing care around the clock. Anybody calling for him to stay in the race feels the same way. They should all be ashamed."
