WASHINGTON, DC: A viral video of Erin Burnett has led people to question President Joe Biden’s capability as a leader. In the video, the CNN anchor reportedly claimed Biden knew “every one of these questions is coming” and still he could not perform during the first presidential debate with Donald Trump.

In the footage shared on X, Burnett can be heard saying, “He goes through six days of preparation, a camp day, more than that. And they know the rules.”

What did CNN anchor Erin Burnett say about Joe Biden's debate performance?

“He practices with the mics. He knows every one of these questions is coming, and yet he couldn't fill the time,” Burnett added.

The two presidential contenders faced each other on Thursday, June 27, where they were asked a variety of questions. This debate held a lot of significance ahead of the presidential election in November this year.

Biden's performance in the debate was faltering, leading to concerns among Democratic party circles and calls for him to pull out of the race. His detractors have claimed that going by his debate performance, Biden does not seem capable to handle another term in office.

Internet reacts as CNN anchor Erin Burnett claims Joe Biden knew the questions

Before the presidential debate, Republicans had claimed the debate was rigged and that the moderators were in Biden's favour.

Erin Burnett’s apparent admission has led to more outrage as an X user tweeted, “She just admitted Biden was hand-fed the questions and he still couldn't get the answers right. Wow!”

Another user shared, “Of course, CNN fed the Biden campaign the questions. He still couldn’t perform. That’s how bad he is.”

The third user noted, “CNN may as well be Joe Biden’s campaign manager. They gave him all the questions and answers and Trump still wiped the floor with him. This is a moment that won’t be forgotten.”

“And he still failed. Who’s running the country?” the fourth one remarked.

The fifth user added, “Biden finally united our nation in agreement that his performance stunk.”

“Did she just slip up and admit that CNN gave the Biden campaign, the questions ahead of time?” an individual asked.

Another comment read, “Just like when Donna Brazile gave Hillary the debate questions ahead of time in 2016. It was totally expected that someone would also do it for 10%. That gave him over a week to repeat the answers.”

“Whoever practiced with him must have been a DEI hire or a traitor in his camp because he was horrible. Can someone watch who resigns or gets fired in a few days?  (By the way, I am voting for Trump) I just want to know who that person or those people are?” a tweet read.

Another user said, "It's less likely that CNN gave Biden the questions, and more likely the Biden campaign gave CNN the questions."
