LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rap superstar Nicki Minaj and conservative pundit Ben Shapiro have formed an unexpected alliance lately, exchanging friendly tweets and mutual praise as both aim to debut controversial new songs on next week's Billboard charts, as per Forbes.

Minaj is looking to chart with her new single 'Big Foot,' which contains several direct insults aimed at fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Meanwhile, Shapiro has teamed up with Tom MacDonald for the rapper's anti-woke song 'Facts,' in which Shapiro name-drops Minaj and espouses right-wing ideology.

Ben Shapiro and Nicki Minaj form unexpected alliance as they aim Billboard charts

In the past, Shapiro has consistently attacked rap music and culture on his various media platforms, including criticizing some of Minaj's earlier work directly. However, this week he had nothing but acclaim for Minaj as the two exchanged a series of warm tweets ahead of their Billboard debuts.

Despite slamming Minaj's verse on 'Pound Town' in June last year and saying he had to "decode" her lyrics because he doesn't "speak stupid people," Shapiro recently called Minaj the "Queen of Rap" on X and said it was "great to join you atop the iTunes rap charts".

Minaj returned the compliments, calling Shapiro's verse on 'Facts' "not bad" and congratulating him on hitting No. 1 on US iTunes. She also praised Shapiro again, tweeting: "Wait til they 'wake up' & listen to what Ben Shapiro is saying in #Facts."

In addition to supporting each other's songs, Shapiro also joined Minaj in insulting Stallion. After Minaj dissed Stallion's flow on 'Big Foot,' Shapiro said via YouTube live: "I’m on Nicki’s side with this one, Nicki is a better rapper than Megan Thee Stallion."

Both 'Big Foot' and 'Facts' have generated significant controversy ahead of their chart debuts, drawing mixed reactions online.

Internet slams surprising alliance between Nicki Minaj and Ben Shapiro

The Internet's response to the surprising alliance between Minaj and Shapiro has been swift and critical. One user on Instagram expressed their disdain, bluntly stating, "Spoiler alert: both songs are trash. Can’t decide which is worse."

Another user weighed in on Minaj's choice to align with Shapiro, expressing skepticism and criticism by saying, "Cool move. Aligning with a known Zionist, Nikki? Really? You lost a long time ago, but this is pathetic."

A third user injected a touch of humor into the discussion, stating, "We are in the multiverse."

Adding to the critique, another person remarked, "They're both up there for the WRONG reasons. People are just curious, not like they're making music that hits. Both those tracks suck, and will be gone off the top 100 just as quick as they got up there."

A more concise reaction came in the form of a single word from a fifth user: "Embarrassing."

Lastly, a sixth user said, "We got two internet menaces joining alliances."
