LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Jesse Watters delivered a scathing commentary on Michael Cohen's testimony in former President Donald Trump's hush money trial.

During the Monday, May 13 episode of his primetime show, Watters wasted no time in characterizing the former Trump attorney as a figure who is tainted by a legacy of dishonesty. He noted that the "packed courtroom rolled its eyes" during Cohen's testimony as everybody was aware of the truth.

Jesse Watters calls Michael Cohen a 'lying rat'

With disbarment, jail time for perjury and tax evasion, and a litany of other falsehoods, Cohen's credibility is indeed in question.

Watters pointed out, "When you talk to your lawyer, and he secretly tapes your conversations and violates your attorney-client privilege, he's not your lawyer. He's a rat. Alvin Bragg's whole case rests on a lying rat. Cohen wants his client sent to jail for following his advice."

The Fox News host asserted that Cohen's motivations are clear: to salvage his own reputation by any means necessary, even if it means throwing his former client under the bus.

"The man will say anything to convict Trump and rehab his disgraced career," declared Watters.

He questioned the former attorney's explanation for paying off Stormy Daniels, suggesting that Cohen's concerns about his wife finding out may have been a smokescreen for more self-serving motivations.

"Cohen told the court he paid Stormy Daniels by taking a loan out on his own home. Why didn't he just cut Stormy a check? He says he didn't want his wife to find out. Why would Cohen's wife care if Trump was paying to keep her quiet? Was Cohen protecting Trump or himself?" inquired Watters.

Jesse Watters points out a major flaw in Michael Cohen's testimony

Watters drew attention to a crucial detail in Cohen's testimony, saying, "Cohen punched a hole through the prosecution's case so big Bragg could fit through it. He testified he killed the same Stormy Daniels story when it was posted on a gossip website in 2011."

He succinctly pointed out, "Was Trump running for president in 2011? No, that would be Mitt Romney, which proves famous tycoons catch and kill bad press because bad press is bad for business."

Internet reacts to Jesse Watters' remarks on Michael Cohen's testimony

One wrote, "The truth will convict Con man Don," and another pointed out, "It’s all on tape and in text messages. What’s not to trust?"

"Everything he is saying is corroborated by a document or another witness," mentioned a person, while someone else stated, "Yeah he would cuz he's pissed he went to prison and Trump for Trump's crime."

A person on YouTube wrote, "Brags case includes several white house vists and a x white house staff organization this case disgusting," and another added, "Even a child can tell you that if you bully someone unjustly, you deserve the outcome you created."

One more person noted, "Recording someone without their knowledge is downright dirty.." "Not to mention that the business records were NOT falsified, since a payment back to a lawyer, who paid for an Non-Disclosure Agreement, which IS a legal document, IS a legal expense!" expressed someone, echoing Watters.
