MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: A Massachusetts high school girls' basketball team had to forfeit a game following an incident where three of their players were injured by a transgender player on the opposing team.

Now, Fox News host Jesse Watters took to X, formerly Twitter, and expressed that those advocating boys to compete girls in sports often claim it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened.

Watters raises concerns over transgender athlete incident

Jesse Watters astutely observes, "Everybody knows men and women are different." Yet discussions surrounding this truth often evade parents' conversations "because millions of Americans hate controversy".

This avoidance perpetuates the norm where adults allow boys to "play" girls in sports and they "dominate" them.

"They say it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. And guess what, some just got hurt."

A recent incident captured in a "wild video from a Massachusetts high school basketball game" vividly illustrates this reality. Here, a "boy who claims he's a girl" aggressively takes out a girl from the opposing team, resulting in her sustaining a serious back injury.

As Jesse Watters highlights, the game between KIPP Academy and Collegiate Charter took a troubling turn when "three girls on that team got seriously injured just in the first half".

The coach of Collegiate Charter made a difficult decision to forfeit at halftime, "because his players were afraid of getting hurt and not being able to compete in the playoffs".

The severity of the situation is underscored by reports from Fox News indicating that the "trans player is more than six feet tall with facial hair".

"This has to stop. And the women need to be the ones to make it happen. This game should never have been played," said Watters.

Watters sparks debate over transgender athlete issue

Jesse Watters sparked debate with his comments on the transgender athelete incident.

One person commented, "It’s not all fun and games because girls continuously keep getting hurt. These girls shouldn’t have to forfeit games to avoid having to play with a biological male but it’s what’s going to keep them safe until they stop letting them compete. Follow me if you agree."

Another wrote, "They should just sit out the game and walk off the court in protest if there is a male on a females team. See not that male female know the difference."

One said, "So messed up."

Another said, "There needs to be a Trans league in all competitions where all Trans athletes compete against each other regardless of birth gender."

Another person wrote, "Transphobia I think."

As per The Daily Mail, Collegiate Charter School officials explained that the team opted to forfeit due to the players' apprehension about potential injuries, which could jeopardize their participation in the upcoming playoffs just a few days later.
