Internet divided as Ron DeSantis slams Trump, insists voters deserve nominee prioritizing them over self
ANKENY, IOWA: Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis slammed former President Donald Trump for prioritizing himself over the voters.
Addressing his supporters in Ankeny, Iowa, on Sunday, January 14, a day before GOP members of the state head choose their presidential nominee, the White House hopeful said, "You deserve a nominee that's going to put you first, not himself first."

According to FiveThirtyEight's analysis of opinion polls, the Florida Governor faces slim chances of success, having been relegated to the third position by rival presidential contender Nikki Haley.
Trump is leading the polls with a strong dominance, positioning him for a potential rematch as the GOP nominee with President Joe Biden in November.
Ron DeSantis rebukes Donald Trump
Accusing Trump of running a campaign putting himself and his issues first, DeSantis stated, "You can be the most worthless Republican in America, but if you kiss the ring, he'll say you're wonderful."
Pointing out how it works the opposite way, the Florida Governor added, "You can be the strongest, most dynamic, successful Republican and conservative in America, but if you don't kiss that ring, then he'll try to trash you."
Once accused of being lenient towards Trump, DeSantis is now openly criticizing him. During the fifth GOP debate, he asserted that Trump failed to deliver promises, such as failing to build the border wall during his presidential term.
