LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent tweet, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shared former President Donald Trump's scathing criticism of the bipartisan $118 billion Senate national security bill.

The bill, designed to address border security and immigration concerns, has already sparked intense debate and faces skepticism from House Republicans.

Trump's tweet, which Greene echoed, derides the bill as the "WORST America last border surrender," emphasizing its potential negative impact on the Republican Party. Trump argued against tying border security to foreign aid, urging the need for a separate Border and Immigration bill.

Trump cccuses supporters of bipartisan bill as fools

The former president posted on Truth Social, "Only a fool, or a Radical Left Democrat, would vote for this horrendous Border Bill."

He contended that the legislation absolves Democrats of their perceived failures on immigration, placing the blame squarely on Republicans' shoulders.

“Only a fool, or a Radical Left Democrat, would vote for this horrendous Border Bill, which only gives Shutdown Authority after 5000 Encounters a day, when we already have the right to CLOSE THE BORDER NOW, which must be done,This Bill is a great gift to the Democrats, and a Death Wish for The Republican Party. It takes the HORRIBLE JOB the Democrats have done on Immigration and the Border, absolves them, and puts it all squarely on the shoulders of Republicans,” Trump continued.

“Don’t be STUPID!!! We need a separate Border and Immigration bill. It should not be tied to foreign aid in any way, shape or form!”

Trump warned against supporting the bill that he believes grants excessive power to Democrats and signals a death knell for the GOP.

Marjorie Taylor Greene endorsed Trump's sentiments, sharing the tweet and declaring, "Pres Trump has the best border policies and the best statement on the WORST America last border surrender bill! It's DEAD ON ARRIVAL!!"

Bipartisan bill allocates $20 billion for border security amidst House Republicans' skepticism

According to Washington Post, the bipartisan bill, released by a group of senators, allocates $20 billion in emergency funding for federal authorities. This funding is intended to bolster the Homeland Security, Justice, and State departments, among other agencies, enabling the hiring of additional Border Patrol agents and asylum officers.

The bill also aims to increase detention capacity and invest in technology to combat the smuggling of fentanyl and other narcotics.

Despite its ambitious goals, the bill faces significant hurdles. House Republicans have already declared it "dead on arrival," indicating a challenging political landscape for its passage.

Nevertheless, if successful, it would mark a groundbreaking move by Congress on immigration issues, addressing long-standing concerns and allocating substantial resources to enhance border security.

Social media divided on bipartisan border bill

Following the release of the bipartisan national security bill aimed at addressing border issues, social media users took to platforms to voice their opinions.

One user wrote, "You can't read numbers or pronounce words, you should be taken out of Congress."

Another wrote, "If it passes the senate and comes to the house. I expect a big bonfire on the Capitol steps to receive it! "

One commented, "It's too bad we didn't fight harder and allow a stolen election to stand. We clearly haven't learned anything from this as we head into 2024 without securing our elections and hoping for a different result using the same rigged system."

Another replied, "I’m so confused… I thought Donald Trump built a big beautiful wall during his first term as promised! Why would we need a border bill if Mr Trump secured the border when he was President?!"
