CONWAY, SOUTH CAROLINA: Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley once again dared former President Donald Trump to get on stage and debate her.

Speaking at a campaign rally on Sunday, January 28, at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, the former UN Ambassador highlighted that it was high time the ex-POTUS came face-to-face with her.

"You can't hide behind a camera. You can't hide behind the teleprompter at rallies. He really needs to come face-to-face. Man up Donald, I know you can do it. Let's get it done," stated Haley.

Notably, Trump, who has avoided engaging in a direct debate with his opponent, recently asserted that he could outperform Haley in a cognitive test, prompting her to challenge him to "get on a debate stage."

The GOP primary race came down to a two-person race between the former South Carolina Governor and Trump after Ron DeSantis suspended his campaign on January 21 and endorsed the ex-president.

Despite her 11-point loss to Trump in the New Hampshire primary, Haley is determined to continue in the race and has ramped up her criticisms against the ex-president.

At the rally in her home state, the former South Carolina Governor questioned the crowd, asking if they believed it was time for Trump to explain why he praised Chinese President Xi Jinping and apparently lauded Hezbollah following the "horrific" October 7 killings.

She asserted, "America deserves answers and Donald Trump won't give them to you. So we're going to keep asking him to get on a debate stage and I think that we need to continue to tell him that he's got to talk to the American people."

Ever since the GOP race became a Trump vs Haley showdown, both candidates have focused explicitly on attacking each other.

Despite cementing his position as a clear frontrunner, Trump threatened Haley's donor with a permanent ban from the MAGA camp. In addition, the RNC had plans to declare Trump as the presumptive nominee, which he later declined.

Responding to the warning and the RNC move, the former UN Ambassador slammed the ex-president, accusing him of being "totally unhinged," and shared a campaign donation link on her X (formerly Twitter) account.

One remarked, "I dislike her immensely but it's a valid call out. Sack up, genius," and another added, "Republicans should demand that Donald Trump and Nikki Haley debate at least once but preferably a couple of times."

A person noted, "I hope she keeps it up. She’s really getting under his skin," while someone else stated, "I would never vote for you for anything, but you go girl. You put up the big fight. I am with you on that."

"You tell him Nikki, keep this message going," expressed a supporter, with one more expressing, "Sounds like she should start showing up at his rallies and say come debate me."

Another person remarked, "Well said. Why should he get away with not debating."

"He'll never debate her because he knows he'll lose, but I do hope she keeps hammering him on this," opined a user.
