NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA: Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley fired back at her opponent Donald Trump's threat to permanently ban her donors from the MAGA camp by sharing a campaign donation link on social media, reported Fox News.

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, January 24, a day after his New Hampshire victory, the Republican frontrunner insulted the former South Carolina governor, calling her "Birdbrain" and "average at best."

"When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate's 'Donors' would immediately come to me, and want to 'help out'. This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me. Anybody that makes a 'Contribution' to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp. We don't want them and will not accept them because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!" Trump wrote.

However, Haley used this to her own advantage by sharing his message on X. Along with a link to donate to her campaign, she wrote, "Well, in that case…donate here. Let's Go!"

Nikki Haley raises $1 million since Trump's warning

Despite losing to Trump by 11 points in the New Hampshire primary, where she hoped to gain strong ground, Haley decided to continue the race.

Speaking to supporters in her home State, South Carolina, on January 24, she announced that her campaign raised a million dollars in a single day.

"We have raised a million dollars since I gave that speech last night," Haley said. "Online, in small dollars. We have had 200,000 donors from all 50 states, 95% of those donations are $200 or less. This is about real Americans."

However, Trump's decisive lead has made a prominent donor to Haley halt funding.

According to the New York Post, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman stated on Thursday, January 25, announced, that she should demonstrate "a new potential path to victory" for the funding to resume.

Trump, ever since Haley started gaining ground, has directed his attacks against her campaign donations, accusing her of accepting "bad money" and fundings from Biden donors.

The Republican presidential hopefuls will face each other in South Carolina on February 24, where Trump is leading by a large margin.

Internet ridicules Nikki Haley

Haley's inability to defeat Trump in Iowa and New Hampshire led to online mockery as she leveraged Trump's rhetoric for increased campaign donations.

Social media reactions suggested the funding was a waste as she could not win the primaries.

One user asked, "Does it matter anymore? She has no one to debate."

Another user wrote, "She's playing hardball now. Sigh."

"Love seeing Nikki draining the coffers of Dem doners," a third user added. Another response read, "Money flushed down the drain."

A fifth user questioned, "Is fundraising for a hopeless campaign ethical?" One user said, "Nikki is wasting people’s money!"

"At this point, she’s just wasting peoples money," stated another user.
