PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump issued a threat against GOP primary opponent Nikki Haley, warning that her campaign contributors would be "permanently barred from the MAGA camp," as reported by The Hill.

Writing on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, January 24, a day after his victory in the New Hampshire primary, the Republican frontrunner said that the losing candidate's donors would immediately come to him to "help out" when he ran for office and won. Despite admitting it was a "standard practice," Trump stated it would no longer be possible with him.

"Anybody that makes a 'contribution' to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp. We don't want them and will not accept them because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!" the former President added, using "Birdbrain," his nickname for Haley.

The ex-president had previously claimed that his opponent's campaign was founded by "Biden donors."

Trump beat the former South Carolina Governor, his only GOP contender, by 11 points in the Granite State primary on January 23. However, Haley is determined to continue her presidential race to defeat Trump.

Donald Trump sharpens rhetoric against Nikki Haley

Followed by his decisive wins in Iowa and New Hampshire, Trump has accelerated his attacks against his opponent.

In his Truth Social post, the GOP forerunner insulted and slammed the former UN Ambassador, stating she is bad for the Republican party as well as the nation.

"I knew Nikki well, she was average at best, is not the one to take on World Leaders, and she never did. That was up to me, and that is why they respected the United States," he continued.

Haley responded to Trump's warning with a post on X inviting people to donate to her campaign. "Well, in that case…donate here. Let's Go!" she wrote, along with a link to a fundraising site.

Trump, in his election-night speech on January 23, too, did not back from attacking Haley and asked her to suspend her campaign.

After Ron DeSantis ended his campaign and endorsed the former President, the GOP primary race narrowed to two people, and whoever grabs the party nomination will likely face President Joe Biden in November.
