NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ON MSNBC, ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough welcomed American columnist Michael Tomasky to talk more about the events that followed the formalization of the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

Scarborough and Tomasky talked about how the “impeachment vote boosted Biden campaign fundraising," however, the internet is not convinced.

As the two shed more light on the matter, the internet focused on the President’s current poll numbers and approval ratings, which according to The New York Post, plunged to 33%, reportedly the lowest since he took office.

'Morning Joe' host Joe Scarborough says ‘impeachment always backfires’

On MSNBC, 'Morning Joe' host Joe Scarborough reported on the headline for the morning and said, “The Biden campaign says Wednesday's impeachment inquiry vote was a big boost for campaign fundraising.”

He continued, “An email from Vice President Kamala Harris pitched donors for support saying, ‘They're going to throw everything they have at Joe because they know they can't run against our record. And by the way, they don't have a record to run on. And if you don't believe me, just ask Chip Roy who screamed in an empty chamber, ‘We've done nothing. We've done nothing,’ he said of the House Republicans.”

“The Biden campaign called the email the best fundraising pitch of the cycle,” reported Scarborough before he welcomed Michael Tomasky and his new piece, “This Impeachment Will Do More to Re-elect Biden Than Anything Biden Could Do Himself.”

Scarborough joked as he read the title and said, “I could tell him, I could tell him that.”

The ‘Morning Joe’ host also briefly mentioned Bill Clinton and said, “We impeached Bill Clinton back in the 1990s, and his approval rating spiked into the 60s, and impeachment always backfires. It backfires when the Republicans don't even know why they're impeaching him.”

Tomasky contributed to the segment and said, “There's no evidence. I mean, let's stipulate that maybe they're sitting on something they haven't told us about yet. Okay. Just to say that and get to that out of the way, but Joe, there's no evidence.”

Internet reacts to 'Morning Joe' segment on Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry

As ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough and columnist Michael Tomasky briefly spoke about the impeachment inquiry, Biden campaign, and “no evidence,” the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “But not his poll numbers… 😬” and another wrote, “How are his polls? LOL.”

“But not his approval rating?” questioned one user, and another wrote, “Money down the drain. He's on his way out.”

People continued to weigh in on the matter as one user wrote, “Biden’s approval rating is 33%,” and another said, “And at 33% approval, doesn't mean much!”
