LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a bold and impassioned moment, MSNBC host Nicole Wallace deviated from her scripted broadcast to condemn former President Donald Trump's recent attacks on a judge's family.

On Friday's live broadcast, Wallace tossed aside her script as she expressed outrage over Trump's social media post targeting the daughter of a judge overseeing a case against him.

Nicole Wallace expresses concern over Donald Trump's attacks on judiciary

According to NY Post, Wallace's frustration was palpable as she declared, "It's time to do something different." Her impromptu departure from the script was prompted by Trump's scathing remarks aimed at the Democratic-affiliated daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over a hush-money case involving Trump.

Venting her exasperation, Wallace exclaimed, "Like, we're not going to have this conversation again!" She emphasized the frequency with which she had reported threats against judges and their families, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

"Donald Trump brazenly and repeatedly attacks not just judges. Judges don’t have Secret Service protecting them," she continued. "What are we going to do differently, because Donald Trump sure as hell isn’t changing."

Donald Trump's social media attack on judge's daughter sparks outrage and legal scrutiny

The controversy erupted after Trump took to social media to criticize Judge Juan M Merchan's daughter, Loren, a political consultant with ties to the Democratic Party. Trump accused her of being biased against him and insinuated that her relationship with her father compromised the fairness of the case.

Judge Merchan had previously issued a gag order on Trump due to concerns about his prejudicial statements and the potential threat they posed to the administration of justice.

The order prohibited Trump from making public comments about key figures in the case, including his former lawyer Michael Cohen and adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Legal experts condemn Donald Trump's efforts to undermine judicial integrity

Trump's accusations against Judge Merchan's family were met with condemnation from legal experts and commentators alike. Former federal Judge Michael Luttig weighed in, asserting that Trump's attacks were a deliberate attempt to undermine the credibility of the courts.

"We all have to understand that from the first time that the former president began his attacks — vicious attacks — on the federal courts and the state courts and their judges, his objective was to delegitimize those courts so that when and if they ruled against him in the various matters that he’s been charged with, then at least his followers, if not a good part of the nation, would dismiss those rulings against him as having been politically inspired and motivated," he said.

Luttig emphasized that Trump's long-standing campaign against the judiciary aimed to sow doubt and distrust, particularly among his supporters.

The stakes are high as the legal battle between Trump and prosecutors unfolds. Trump faces multiple felony charges related to alleged financial misconduct, including falsifying business records in connection with hush money payments.

Despite his denials and pleas of not guilty, the case has become a focal point of political and legal scrutiny.
