Internet elated as Donald Trump's super PAC raises an astounding $70 million in May funding
WASHINGTON, DC: Make America Great Again Inc, a well-known super PAC that backs former President Donald Trump's bid for the White House in 2024, reports that it raised almost $70 million in May funding.
MAGA Inc promised in a memo to its funders to invest $100 million in a significant summertime advertising campaign in support of the presumed Republican presidential nominee in the crucial battleground states that will probably determine Trump and President Joe Biden's rematch in the election.
Donald Trump's campaign collected stunning $141 million in fundraising in May
The MAGA Inc statement coincides with the Trump campaign's announcement from two days ago that they and the Republican National Committee raised an astounding $141 million in May thanks in part to the former president's guilty verdicts in his criminal trial. The 77-year-old was found guilty of all 34 felony counts in the first trial of a former or current president in the nation's history.
The former president's campaign emphasized that they and the RNC raised almost $53 million in the first day after the historic decision on Thursday night, June 30, which went toward May's total.
Although MAGA Inc did not disclose the percentage of their May fundraising that was obtained following Trump's verdict, it is noteworthy that their May fundraising total has significantly exceeded their $12.7 million April collection.
Donald Trump has been aiming to close his fundraising gap with Joe Biden
Trump has been trying to catch up to Biden in terms of fundraising. For the first time, in April, his campaign and the RNC raised more money than the Democratic National Committee and the Biden campaign combined. In public opinion polls, the former president continues to lead Biden in the six crucial battlegrounds where Trump lost by a narrow margin four years ago.
What did MAGA Inc CEO Taylor Budowich say?
Former Trump aide and CEO of MAGA Inc. Taylor Budowich claimed in his memo that the White House showdown has not changed course as a result of the ex president's guilty verdicts. "Joe Biden and the Democrats wanted a conviction, and they got it, for now. However, the fundamental political realities driving voter motivation remain unchanged," Budowich wrote, per Fox News.
The super PAC's plan to assist Trump in obtaining the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency is highlighted in the memo.

Budowich said the Biden campaign needs "to both solidify the Blue Wall states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, while keeping President Trump defensive in the Sun Belt states of Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada. That only happens if they can keep their coalition together."
Additionally, he argued that "Biden and the Democrats' cash advantage is baked—they have spent more than $135 million to-date on television with almost no movement to show for it."
Biden campaign has outspent MAGA Inc since March
The memo notes that since March, the Biden campaign has outspent MAGA Inc., which currently is the only pro-Trump super PAC running ads on TV, by a three to one margin. However, the spending is nearly equal between the Biden campaign and MAGA Inc. in Pennsylvania, which Budowich describes as the "ballgame" in deciding the presidential election outcome.
Budowich also pointed to Georgia, calling it "the best gateway to the White House for President Trump — delivering the targeted 270 electoral votes."
While MAGA Inc. has been the top super PAC supporting Trump this cycle and has the former president's blessing, it has competition. The Right for America super PAC is being steered by Trump ally Sergio Gor.
