PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: In the aftermath of last week’s landmark guilty verdict, former President Donald Trump conveyed a cautionary message to his political adversaries on Tuesday, June 3.

Per NBC News, during an interview with the conservative media platform Newsmax, the embattled presumptive GOP nominee appeared to suggest the potential incarceration of his political rivals should he be reelected as POTUS come November.

The 77-year-old MAGA strongman discussed the felony conviction in his New York hush-money case, by saying, "So, you know, it’s a terrible, terrible path that they’re leading us to, and it’s very possible that it’s going to have to happen to them.”

"Does that mean the next president does it to them? That’s really the question," Trump posited.

“I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of America, Joe Biden, and go after the Biden crime family,” Trump claimed in the past.

The real estate magnate referred to his 2016 Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, and the fact that he chose not to pursue criminal charges against her.

The ex-commander-in-chief asserted that he demonstrated restraint by not targeting the former Secretary of State, especially when juxtaposed with the current scrutiny directed at him.

“Some people said I should have done it, but, you know, could have, would have been very easy to do it, but I thought it would be a terrible precedent for our country,” Trump remarked.

He added, “And now, whoever it may be, you’re going to have to view it very much differently. This is a bad, bad road that they’re leading us down to as a country."

“And I mean that, but it’s awfully hard when you see what they’ve done. These people are so evil,” Trump claimed.

He insinuated that there would be a "breaking point" for the public should he face imprisonment or house arrest following a guilty verdict in his hush money trial.

On Thursday, May 30, a unanimous New York jury bench found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts in relation to concealing payments made to an adult film star to help sustain his 2016 presidential campaign.

In his interview with Newsmax, former President Trump criticized the 12-person Manhattan jury bench, saying that he "never saw a glimmer of a smile" from them and claimed he did not receive a fair trial.

Judge Juan Merchan, presiding over the hush money case, imposed a gag order on Donald Trump, prohibiting discussion of jurors, potential witnesses, and individual prosecutors, which remains in effect post-trial. He also incurred a $10,000 fine for breaching the gag order during the trial.
