GEORGIA: The Georgia Court of Appeals has scheduled a tentative hearing for October 4 to consider oral arguments in the bid to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting the case of election interference involving former President Donald Trump and others.

Given that the challenge to disqualify may extend to October, coupled with uncertainties regarding how the Supreme Court's impending decision on presidential immunity might affect the case, it appears highly improbable that Trump will face a trial for election interference in Georgia before Election Day.

Judges Todd Markle, Trenton Brown, and Benjamin Land are appointed to review the case

The attorneys received notification of the provisional date following the official entry of the case into the appeals court docket on June 3, as per a notice acquired by CNN. Defense attorneys must submit briefs for the case within 20 days. The court has tentatively scheduled an oral argument day, but it is not confirmed. A party involved in the case must request an oral argument, after which the court will decide whether to grant it.

Alternatively, the panel may choose to bypass oral arguments and make a ruling based on the submitted briefs. Judges Todd Markle, Trenton Brown and Benjamin Land are appointed to review the case.

The proceedings against Trump and his co-defendants are permitted to continue in the lower court, though a trial date is yet to be determined. The district attorney's office spokesperson has opted not to comment on the matter. The tentative hearing date was initially disclosed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Donald Trump blasted after he appeals to remove Fani Willis from Georgia interference case

As soon as the news went viral on social media the internet started sharing their reactions.

One user said, "Look… let’s accept it. Even with his shill Cannon and her shenanigans. He is going to lose in November and he will Ultimately be tried, found guilty in some cases, and the frigging nightmare will finally come to an end. And he knows it.

Another user added "It's going to be even more disappointing after he loses the election and continues sucessfully getting these delayed until 2028 when he runs again."

One Trump critic said, "Fani Willis is a hero while the convicted felon is a zero. His Inmate number in Fulton County will help expedite the process."

"That's his goal. Delay until he hopefully can use the presidency as a shield instead of being convicted again," a user wrote criticizing Trump.

A person claimed, "@realDonaldTrump will do anything to win, including breaking the law numerous times."
