WASHINGTON, DC: Hillary Clinton has seemingly made light of Donald Trump's felony conviction, according to The List.

The former presidential candidate shared an Instagram post promoting a mug that had a painted image of her drinking tea and the words "turns out she was right about everything" printed above it.

“We recently had some new merch made based on a phrase I hear a lot,” she captioned the photo of the mug, adding “The design happened to be finalized today.”

The words seemingly stemmed from Clinton’s previous comments. In a 2019 CBS Morning interview, she referred to Trump as a “illegitimate president” and implied that he might have been involved in the 2016 election tampering.

“I believe he understands that the many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to the false stories — he knows that — there were just a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out like it did,” she said at the time.

Donald Trump became the first president in history to become a convicted felon

During Trump's criminal trial, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office contended that he had fabricated documents to conceal payments of hush money to Stormy Daniels in the closing days of his 2016 presidential campaign. The DA's office said that Trump was trying, in general, to conceal evidence of an unlawful conspiracy to sway the 2016 election by fabricating the records.

Trump was eventually found guilty in a New York court on Thursday, May 30, of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, becoming the first president in history to become a convicted felon.

Donald Trump told the reporters that the trial 'was rigged'

Following the guilty verdict, Trump told reporters of the trial, "This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt." He also vowed that he was an “innocent man” and would fight the verdict “to the end,” as per CBS News. Trump faces up to four years in prison, though he is also eligible for a lesser probation sentence and a fine. He is expected to appeal the verdict.

Clinton's dig at Donald Trump draws strong support from her followers

Soon after Clinton posted the new merch on her Instagram profile, many of her followers flooded the comments section, voicing appreciation for the former first lady. One follower commented, "I need some Hilary dunking on Trump merch" and another quipped, "Oh, I love you! Millions of us are thrilled today and thinking of you. 💙💙"

"Always Hillary 👏👏👏👏👏" praised one and another added, "Make a shirt that says 'Lock WHO up?!'" "True! I’d love a shirt in a different color for this. You would have been a brilliant president and you earned the presidency. You won the popular vote. Everyone who could have voted for you and didn’t, is part of the problem. Vote Biden/Harris 2024,"  commented one follower.

"You sure were right! Still proud to have voted for you! 🗳️ 🙌," commented a follower.
