NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Stormy Daniels' husband has said that former President Donald Trump's guilty verdict in the hush money trial has made the latter "a little vindicated," according to The Hill.

In a conversation with CNN's Erin Burnett on Thursday, May 30, Daniel's spouse, Barrett Blade, said the conviction was a "big weight off her shoulders."

The 12-panel Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up the hush money payments to the porn star before the 2016 election.

The $130K payoff Daniels received in exchange for her silence about their alleged sexual encounter was at the heart of the criminal case against the 45th president. Furthermore, she was also a key witness in the trial.

Barrett Blade says Stormy Daniels was telling the truth

"This wasn't her seeking justice for herself. She was standing up for herself early on and saying what was right, but this whole hush money trial has really … it's not her story," Barrett, who married Daniels in 2022, said.

"I mean, it's nice that the jury saw the facts and made the decision, and of course, we support that either way; if they saw it differently, we would have supported either way. But I think it does help with the fact that she feels, you know, a little vindicated that, you know, she was telling the truth," he continued.

Furthermore, Blade stated that Daniels was "pretty stoic" after the conviction, and even though, at present, it lifted a "big weight off her shoulders," it brought another weight regarding "what happens next."

The adult film actress took the witness stand on May 7 and 9, revealing her side of the story about her meeting with Trump in 2006 and how it led to an alleged sexual encounter in a Nevada hotel suite.

Following the conclusion of the testimony, Daniels' lawyer revealed that she was "paralyzed" over the likely threats due to her testimony, and she wore a bulletproof vest during her travel to the Manhattan Supreme Court.

The sentence against Trump is scheduled to be announced on July 11, less than a week before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Internet differs with Barrett Blade's remark on Stormy Daniels' feeling 'vindicated'

Netizens harshly disagreed with Daniels' husband as he said the actress felt 'vindated' by Trump's conviction.

One user said, "It had nothing to do with her." Another user remarked, "Tell Stormy Daniels needs to pay Trump the $600K she owes him."

Meanwhile, a third user asked, "Vindicated for what, exactly? Signing an NDA and getting paid?"

A fourth response read, "Not to tear her down or anything, but what would she have to be "vindicated" over here? The premise of the trial was that she was paid money in exchange for her silence, meaning that before the trial even started she was backed by the courts?"

"Not true. What vindicates her is changed behavior. Money can't move that," someone else claimed. An individual questioned, "Vindicated for what? Blackmail?"
