Despite this, Trump maintains his innocence and claims that Biden and the Democratic Party orchestrated the prosecution to damage his presidential campaign.

Joe Biden questions Donald Trump's mental state

Biden addressed these accusations, stating, "It's reckless, it's dangerous, it's irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don't like the verdict."

In addition to discussing Trump’s criminal charges, Biden suggested that Trump’s mental state has deteriorated since his 2020 election loss.

Internet reacts to Joe Biden's comment on Donald Trump

The public's reaction on social media was mixed with some users showing support for Trump despite his criminal conviction.

One user on X wrote, "I would rather vote for the convicted felon than the non-convicted one."

One commented, "It’s funny because it’s true" while another added, "This needs to happen until Election Day," referring to Biden's comment.

Some users suggested that the label "felon" would stick with Trump with one writing, "Felon is his new name."

However, not all reactions were in favor of Biden’s statements. Some users questioned Biden's viability as a candidate, with one stating, "Biden is the only Democrat Trump can beat. Why are they running him?"

Another user echoed this sentiment, saying, "And he will still make a better President than Biden." One said, "Actually no it's not lol this guilty verdict was exactly what he wanted to expose the deep state and it's only made him more popular."
