PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Conservative host Benny Johnson was a part of Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) event in Arizona, Phoenix over the weekend as a contributor. During his time there, Johnson spoke about ex-Fox News anchor, Tucker Carlson.

Carlson was fired from Fox News earlier in 2023 and stayed in the headlines for a while after his phone call with Elon Musk got him to X (formerly Twitter.) As Carlson’s brand continues to grow, Johnson shared the “real reason” the ousted news anchor “came back stronger than ever.”

As Johnson expressed his thoughts on Carlson and his comeback, the internet rushed to applaud both Johnson and Carlson.

Benny Johnson talks about what men ‘need’

At TPUSA, conservative host Benny Johnson took the stage as he spoke about Tucker Carlson. Johnson said, “My boy Tucker, they did everything they could to try and destroy this man and they did what would have destroyed them. They took away his job, they took away his career. They took him off Fox News, right?”

“What is Tucker’s response to that?” asked Johnson as the screen flashed images and videos of Carlson after his ouster.

Johnson continued, “They sent reporters to chase down Tucker and he literally laughs in their faces. He laughs in their faces because he has this. He has…I’m going to get emotional.”

Johnson took a sip of his water as the screen flashed an image of Carlson with his wife, Susan Andrews.

“I have this in my wife, and I have children, and I have a relationship with God, and that’s all you need, men. That’s all you need. The world can do nothing to you if you have that. You can live the life you are designed to live and nothing they do to you will hurt you,” said Johnson.

Johnson also said, “You will become an alpha. You will become the man you intended to be.” He pointed at Carlson’s picture and added, “That’s what true purpose looks like in life.”

Internet reacts to Benny Johnson’s message to men

After Benny Johnson shared the example of Tucker Carlson to send a message about what men “need” in life, the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “I can definitely say, tucker is 10 times more stronger than he was on Fox News 💪” and another wrote, “So great Benny!!”

“He has come back 100 times stronger and 1000 times more influential. This is how it's done,” wrote one user, and another said, “Wow absolutely empowering brother. Once God is in our lives, everything just gets better. Immense Grace and Gratitude.”

People continued to applaud Johnson as one user wrote, “You are a great role model for our sons.  A positive message. Thank you!” and another wrote, “Well said.”
